Great spot for groups - spacious, comfortable and has everything you'll need. Easy check-in and booking process. Clear communication from Michael before and during our stay. The property is in a great location, and only a short drive from Westport & Croagh Patrick. The photos don't do the property justice, it's better in person!

What a great weekend! Such a fantastic spot for a big group! The house was absolutely amazing, it had everything we needed for the weekend. The taxi lady, Mitch, was there to collect us and drop us wherever we wanted to go day or night which made our weekend so much more enjoyable! Michael was on the other end of the phone all weekend and really made himself available to us all. Every single one of us enjoyed our stay and will definitely be recommending to friends.

We were a party of seven ladies on a hen weekend in Westport. When we drove up the drive of Eagelwood Lodge, our first view of the house was spectacular and it exceeded our expectations. The inside is spacious, very roomy, beautifully decorated with with amazing views. The outdoor eating area allowed us have leisurely breakfasts and it was about a 15 min drive from Westport Town. Taxis are freely available to bring us back and forth after our nights out and very reasonable. Despite being a hen weekend, we found ourselves staying in the first night and partying in the house as it had a Jukebox with a huge selection of songs for everyone's taste. The kitchen is well stock with dishes, a huge variety of pots and pans and plenty of mugs and glasses along with a dishwasher to clean them all up. We relaxed in the basking sunshine in the front lawn with the company of hens (very appropriate for a hen weekend) and a very friendly gentle little Jack Russell, called Buster. Well done Michael, fab weekend in fab accommodation, thank you very much. Undoubtedly we will be back with our individual families and an intended future girly weekend. Sarah, Emma, Joan, Maryann, Fiona, Gillian and Laura.

I booked this cabin for a family weekend together and it was perfect! The cabin is stunning: warm and welcoming; spacious; lovely rooms and has everything you need (Wifi, TV, kitchen equipment, music system, log fire etc...). The cabin is also located close to amazing scenery and places to visit. Moreover, Michael was a great host, he responded promptly to all communication, checked we had everything we needed during out stay, organised taxis for us for a night out in Westport town and at the end of our stay asked if we had any feedback. I would not hesitate to recommend Michael as a host or his log cabin for a stay, my family said it was the best NYE ever!! :-)

Eaglewood Lodge in Westport was a great venue for a large group over New Year. The house is very clean, finished to an excellent standard and has ample seating, cooking utensils and comfortable beds for a big group. It's in a lovely scenic setting and taxi into Westport town (which has plenty of pubs and restaurants) is easy to get hold of. I would recommend this to anyone and would go back again if staying in Westport or around the area. Host Michael is friendly and helpful.

I have lived and walked the mountains in this area most of my life and even though I travel quite a bit something always draws me back here whether it's the colour of the mountains as they change with every bit of sun rain or snow that falls on them.
I offer guided walks to these same mountains as well as bus tours to off the beaten track places or would you like to try your luck at gold panning. We also provide airport pick up and drop off including archaeological site visits geological talks, and get to see and use traditional crafts methods from years gone by.
We also offer wine tasting, cocktail making, and outdoor activities, photography, sea shore foraging and much more.
