Interaction with Guests
I tell my guests that it is their apartment and I don't go in and check on anything while they are here. I like to give my guests their privacy, but ask them to let me know any questions and I like to have an incoming and outgoing meeting.
Noe valley is a great central kid and family friendly neighborhood
Yes very close by easy to get anywhere in the city and the Bay Area .
Other Things to Note
Airbnb is being told by the city of San Francisco that they will need to add on a"hotel tax" of 15% to my guests charges which I think is too high and makes it more expensive for my guests. I don't know when this is going to happen. You could let our Board of Supervisors know that this is not right. SF is already very expensive I will not be raising my price. Although airbnb says I am priced low
I have recently added a cleaning fee of $50. Airbnb says I should charge $165. Per nite but I think keeping the charge at $125 Is fair and allows guests to come to SF which is very expensive to begin with
The studio was perfectly located near Castro Street and well linked to most of SF attractions. It is in an old victorian house so do not expect to have all the last innovations of a new building ( but this is also why this place is charming !) We were 3 travellers and I think this was a maximum, 4 people would fit in but I think the studio is perfect for 2 people. We would also like to Thank Judith for her kindness and for being flexible with hours ( arrival and departure) and for giving us some tips and help when we needed to! We will definitely recommand this place to people Who would like to live in an authentic SF's soulful house.
First of all I want to say that Judith is a nice person and helped us to solve a problem with the car we rented.
As my wife, my daughter and I got into the "studio" (that's how the owner calls it but the perfect definition would be garage), we realized how unreal the photos on the web are. In the place there is a complete lack of natural light and the only window is in the bathroom and is impossible to keep it open because of the bugs that come in attracted by the greenhouse. All the rugs on the floor make difficult to walk in this suffocating place and it's easy to trip over. Rugs look dirty and considering the fact that animals are admitted I don't even want to wonder how many mites there are. The electric system looks unsafe and dangerous: there are plugs, cables and extension cords everywhere. With a short circuit this place could literally blow up. Another issue of the place is: if you're taller than 160 cm double avoid this place, the ceiling is very short. The place has a kitchen but I doubt someone has ever cooked here unless he likes to sleep with food smell that would be anyway better than the musty smell that there's in the studio. Thanks to this unpleasant smell sleeping gets difficult, also the uncomfortable bed is a good contribute for insomnia. If you are ok with all these issues look at the price! There are much more better places for the same price. This accommodation doesn't worth 200€ per night (including taxes).
Ps Judith let me give you an advice: throw away some of your stuff..people prefer to breathe oxygen rather than dust!
- Judith nous a très bien accueilli dès notre arrivée
- le logement à bien été décrit
- le quartier est très calme et sécurisant
The atelier Noe is located in a really good neighboor. Buses are very close, restaurants and shops too!
The appartment is "big" and we had everything we need. Judith even provided a kid's chair and toys for my 3 years son. :-)
She is very nice and gave us lots of precious informations ( what to do, visits, buses, good restaurants ... )
We had a really good time in San Francisco, and the Atelier Noe was an important part of that experience. Judith is a wonderful person and an excelent host. The neighborhood is safe and beautiful. Free parking and near to public transport. This place is a five star.
