  • Judy's place was perfect for me and my friend to stay, since it was one of the few we could find which would have more than 1 bed. Atelie noe has a queen size bed, a comfortable couch that can become a queen size bed and also another single mattress we didn't use. About Judy, she is an awesome host and did everything she could to make our stay more enjoyable. The location is very close to the mission neighborhood as well as the Castro so there's a lot to do nearby.

  • I was in San Francisco on a business trip, and found my time at Atelier Noe was like a Goldilocks tale, "Just right." The bed was warm & cozy, the kitchen amenable to enjoying a homemade espresso and sourdough toast, and the vintage clawfoot tub was the perfect place to warm my working bones. The little greenhouse in the bathroom was my favorite thing. I helped Judith with the wifi one night, which allowed us a chance to get to know each other. Judy is open, friendly and knows the city like the back of her hand.

I've lived in San Francisco for 15 years, so staying here made me recall the old school San Francisco charm I remember when I first came to this city. If you're used to a hotel and maid service, this place is not for you, but if you travel light, and plan to spend most of your time out exploring what the city has to offer, you'll find Judith's studio a good place to end your day.

Noe Valley is a safe, pleasant neighborhood, with the MUNI transit busses & J train that will take you to the Castro, Mission, downtown or up into Diamond Heights, if you're seeking a panoramic view. Cabs come through 24th Street often, and you're within walking distance to a drugstore, bakeries, restaurants, banks, Whole Foods, ice cream and a farmer's market on the weekends.

  • My wife and I just moved to San Francisco, and stayed here for a few weeks while looking for an apartment. Overall, Judy's studio was great! It had everything we needed, and the neighborhood is nice, quite, safe, and walking distance to Whole Foods and Starbucks.

Judy was a great host! And the only drawback of the apartment is the lack of a shower. However, this is manageable as the bathtub is great, and there is still a shower-head with plenty of hot water.

Note, there is not much natural light in the entry way and living room. But that should not be a problem if you plan on exploring the city during the day, and of course there are plenty of lamps.

Finally, with easy access to bus and trolley and having a parking spot included, this place is a good deal in San Francisco.

    Thanks!

  • Everything you need and some! Judy was a spectacular host and the apartment having it's own private side entrance and parking spot is rare to find for this price in SF. The Fireplace makes for a fun mood lighting and hanging on 24th street which is right nearby is a must for shops, food and drinks! The bed and futon were extra extra comfortable as well. Loved the old school sit in bath tub too.

  • My mom and I stayed here for four days. We were in town for a conference and for early Christmas with the grand kids and great grand kids who live nearby. We had a very full schedule. The apartment was cozy and the beds and bed linens comfy. The kitchen was well-equipped. The ceilings are low so I wouldn't stay here if you are over 5'8". The main problem was Judy's friendliness. It was pretty intrusive. There was a problem with flies in the apartment and she called while I was in my conference to see how that was. i did not respond, thinking that would let her know all was well. She called again and asked me to PLEASE call back and let her know. She called several times to check on our schedule, calling one night at 11 pm, right after we got home from my Mom's 75th birthday celebration. Seriously, it was just too much. I don't want to feel obligated to befriend my host. And the "leave the apartment as you found it" translates to a long list of cleaning chores, including scrubbing toilets and cleaning mirrors and vaccuuming. I would rather pay a cleaning fee.

  • Judith is really nice. As soon as we entered the apartment we felt like home. The apartment is very close to castro street and you have a bus that takes you to the castro station in 5 minutes. The neighborhood is very quiet, you won't hear any noise.
Huge bonus : we could park our massive SUV in front of our door.
It was the perfect place to enjoy the city particularly the castro and the mission

  • We had a wonderful stay at Atelier Noe! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was idyllic, and Judy was a stellar hostess. Her warm personality and expertise of the city was great! I would stay again in a heartbeat.
