Leah, our host was available to answer every question I had. She was warm and welcoming. The house was colorful, very clean, and a wonderful gathering place for our family and friends. We hosted a wedding brunch there utilizing the indoor living room ( two couches and 2 upholstered chairs and a kitchen table with 6 high top chairs) and outdoor space with a table and 8 comfortable chairs, and our guests had a wonderful time. Leah even brought over 4 additional chairs for us to use on the patio. The beds were comfortable, it was great having 2 bathrooms, a washer and dryer and kitchen that had everything you needed. Leah has put together a notebook that describes everything in the house and gives an overview of the Sedona area. She suggested nearby hikes, and we had a great time there. The house is at the end of a quiet street right near the downtown area of Sedona. There is a small motel across the street, but you see the back of the hotel and we never saw anyone or heard anyone there. You can see the red rocks in the distance above the motel. We could easily walk to Wildflower for breakfast, L'Auberge for the wedding activities, and restaurants and shops in the downtown area. We are very grateful we found this home!
5 friends and I stayed at the yellow door house when we were in Sedona to run in the Sedona Marathon. It was a really perfect place for us. It was beautiful, cheerful, super clean, very comfortable and better than we could have expected. It was in a great (email hidden)ose to everything, yet set back on a very quiet street. Leah was excellent. We had a couple of things we needed help with so texted her and she came over right away each time. She also gave us great restaurant recommendations. There was a book of "how to" that was excellent. The home was really great and is a place I'd go back to in a minute.
This home is quite lovely - clean and well decorated. Leah was very kind and helpful. The location is as described: close to many shops and restaurants, which is great. Also very nice to have a parking pass available for visiting the hiking trails.
The outside table is pleasant for afternoon get-togethers.
We were a little disconcerted that there was no view - should have read the review about the front windows looking at the back of the motel, but it was quiet at night.
Thank you, Leah, for your kindnesses.
Our family of 4 arrived on Saturday afternoon and the balance of our party arrived in the evening. Leah was very responsive texting us and greeted us warmly and brought us extra towels. The home is well appointed with many extra blankets, any kind of cookware you might need, cleaning supplies and some kitchen cooking basics. The home was clean and tidy. It is situated at the heart of Sedona - a quick walk to dining, shopping and hiking options. We also used it as a base for a day trip to the Grand Canyon. The home is on a street facing the back of a motel, so the primary view is of the motel, but if you look up, you can see the great red rock formations. Even though it is just off the main road we found it completely quiet. To access the Yellow Door House, if you are coming North from Phoenix, we recommend turning left off 179 through the parking lot of the Red Rock BBQ. This way you avoid to traffic circles at the intersection of 179 and 89A.
The home contained a very useful 'what to do' and 'how to use' manual. Within the manual, it describes that occasionally ants erupt in the home. We found this to be the case. We swept and kept the counters very clean, but ants did emerge. We visited the local Ace Hardware and put down some Terro liquid ant killer. Within 36 hours the ants were gone. We would definitely recommend this home based on living space, amenities, and location. Thanks P & L.
We had a group of four girls for the weekend and we had a really great time here. The space was great and having two bathrooms was really convenient for us. The house is in a private and cozy area and is laid out well for several people to use. Everything was clean and organized and the check-in, check-out went very smoothly. I would definitely rent this place again the next time I'm in Sedona.
Just stayed one night at the Yellow Door House in Sedona. We were seven people and stayed comfortably in all the accommodations which were clean and comfortable. Location was great and Leah was there to meet us when we arrived. We enjoyed our night there and would definitely rebook again when staying in Sedona.
I had a group of 7 people stay at this place and we absolutely loved everything about the yellow door house! Leah was SO friendly and greeted us right when we arrived and told us about some things we should not miss in Sedona. The house was WAY nicer than we all expected and came with everything you would need to cook, clean, etc. We were all surprised by all the little details the house included (i.e. brand new tooth brushes, very nice TV's in every room, games, maps of where to hike, walking sticks, etc.). The beds were all super comfy and the showers were awesome (the water stayed warm after 7 people showered!) AND the location is UNREAL! You are walking distance to so many awesome trails and to downtown Sedona. Even our tour driver told us we were very lucky to find a house with such a great location. The Yellow Door House is such a hidden gem and I would definitely recommend this house to anyone! We could not of asked for a better time and a better place to stay. We will definitely be coming back to the Yellow Door House soon! Thank you again!
