The space
Located in North Joshua Tree, El Rancho is a renovated and curated off-grid homestead that is flooded with light during the day and filled with stars in the sky by night.

The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils + Joshua Tree Coffee with a Chemex and pour over.

The bedroom has a new queen bed, comforter and pillows from our friends at Casper.

Being off-grid enables you to be aware of your living environment and the resources you use. Please leave the hair dryer and heavy electrical devices at home as the solar system will not be able to handle it and enjoy the slow-moving pace at El Rancho.

NOTE: This home does not have AC. Open the windows and enjoy the desert breeze during the day and the cool wind at night. There is a 2 mile dirt road to the home that can be difficult to maneuver after a storm (they are rare in the desert but do happen). We recommend taking a 4x4.

ATTENTION: Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken extra precautions to make sure our home is cleaned and disinfected after every guest. By booking El Rancho you understand you are staying in another property at your own risk and neither El Rancho or its owners shall be held responsible or liable for any sickness you may contract during and after your stay.

El Rancho is fairly remote with few neighbors around. The home closest to El Rancho is another Airbnb so you may have the chance to interact with other desert visitors.

We are located 20 minutes from downtown Joshua Tree with 10-15 minutes (2 miles) on a dirt road to the home.
