Yes! At lightning speed! (well..not really, but we think it's pretty close)
We have a central air conditioning and heating unit, which is perfect for hot summer days and cool winter nights. Because it is a central system, we must keep the entire home between 70-72 degrees F at all times. Most guests are comfortable with this range, but if you tend to feel cold easily, please be aware of this. We provide extra blankets just in case.
Generally between 10pm-7am, especially on weeknights. Because we live upstairs, you may hear us during the day from time to time.
Interaction with Guests
We're a friendly bunch but prefer to allow our guests their own space. However, should the need arise, we are just a phone call or text away. We're happy to provide any help navigating through our fabulous city.
Nestled in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, we live in one of the most diverse areas in the city. Folks here are friendly and helpful. There are cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, banks, Jefferson Park, most anything you need, all located within walking distance. Check out our guidebook!
Easy access to the Mount Baker or Beacon Hill light rail stations - we are just a short walk away from both! The light rail runs conveniently between Seatac Airport, Safeco Field (Mariners!), CenturyLink Field (Seahawks & Sounders!), International District, and Downtown Seattle - Westlake Center.
2.5 miles from Safeco & CenturyLink Field
3.0 miles from Downtown Seattle
4.0 miles from Capitol Hill
5.5 miles from Seattle Center (Space Needle)
I-5 and I-90 are just minutes away!
Guests have also used car services such as Uber or Lyft to easily navigate the city.
Other Things to Note
We want you to enjoy your stay and have found that the best chance of success is to communicate and ask questions. In order to make sure this is a good fit for you, please read the listing description and house rules thoroughly prior to booking.
The studio is located in the lower level of our home. Although the amount of natural lighting is limited to the screen door, it's great for a relaxing getaway and restful slumber.
For those with mobility issues, please note that there are stairs from the street to the studio's entrance.
We request that there be no visitors other than the guests who have booked the studio.
Please be respectful and clean. We hope that our guests will keep the living area tidy and return the space as they found it.
Keep noise level down especially on weeknights.
Please remove your shoes upon entering the studio.
Please turn off all interior lights upon exiting.
No smoking or drug use will be tolerated.
As much as we love animals, no pets are allowed.
Please note that any violation of the house rules will result in the immediate termination of a guest's reservation, and that, in these instances, the reservation total will be forfeited and, where appropriate, deductions from the security deposit may be made.
This was my first airbnb experience - hosted from February 20-22, 2015.
One of the requests that my brothers and I had was the possibility of checking in just a few hours earlier; we wanted to drop our stuff off before exploring the city. Although she was still at work, Annie was very good with communicating in a timely manner and was willing to accommodate our favor.
From the day my request was accepted, all the way through checking in/out, Annie was a great host. She and her husband were very helpful during our times of need and their space is really somewhere that I know my brothers and I can see ourselves coming back to. If any of my family/friends need a place to stay in Seattle, I will definitely recommend their listing.
We absolutely loved Studio 23!
Annie is a fantastic host. She left us snacks, water, coffee and was always available to contact if we had questions regarding the city.
The studio is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, clean and comfortable.
You can walk and arrive in minutes to the Link to get to and from Pike and all the wonderful things Seattle offers!
Annie's place was excellent. She was very helpful and responsive to any and all of our needs during our trip. The lodgings were just as described in her ad. It was a great place to stay. A short walk to the light rail in either direction and located in a nice, super quiet neighborhood. I couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations and would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks Annie.
Studio 23 was a very great place to stay. Close to the city, easy parking, the studio was full of goodies, and it stayed pitch dark even into the morning which made sleeping in lovely!
Annie's place is awesome! The studio is very fine furnished and everything was very clean. Also, we cannot love the pool table in the room more! We spent most of our time in the studio playing on it. Even though we didn't get to meet Annie, she was very easy to communicate though messages. Everything was just perfect. The only slight problem was that there's no reception down in the basement. But who needs that? Annie has very fast speed wifi in the basement :D
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Annie's place. This was our first time staying with an Airbnb and Annie made us feel right at home. She provided us with snacks and essentials such as shampoo, hair dryer etc. The location was wonderful, very close to the light rail. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we visit Seattle.
I am married to my best friend and together we are proud parents to our child and pets! We enjoy traveling the world, hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring our backyard - the beautiful Pacific NW!
During our travels, we've experienced the hospitality of those living locally and realize how much more enriching it is when there is a connection to the community. We hope to provide a warm, relaxing atmosphere for our guests and an opportunity for them to experience how wonderfully amazing our city is!
