Interaction with Guests
Hi, I'm your host Maria! I'm very friendly with extensive overseas travel experiences, so I will assist as much as possible to make guests feel comfortable and give them a quality vacation. I was a European tour guide based in Germany for two years, but now I'm a high school teacher of English As A Foreign Language. Having been born in southern Slovakia, I still speak Hungarian and Slovakian pretty well in addition to English. Places I've visited include most of Europe, parts of Russia, East Africa, most of the Caribbean, and parts of Central and South Africa. More adventures are planned for the future! My hobbies include cycling, walking on the beach, learning new things, fitness and healthy living, my pets, spending time with friends, and traveling.
The Wave is in south St. Pete in an area called Pinellas Point because it's at the tip of the Pinellas peninsula, 1/4 mile from Tampa Bay and the Skyway Bridge. My condo is on the 4th floor and faces woods and palm trees for a secluded resort feeling! The Wave is minutes from I-275 highway for convenience to Tampa. It is close to Eckerd College, Ft. Desoto Park, Maximo Park, downtown St. Pete, Gulf of Mexico beaches, Clearwater, and even Bradenton and Sarasota for a day trip.
Condo is a half mile from I-275, so it's very convenient access to get around St. Pete, Pinellas County, Tampa International Airport, and other parts of Tampa including Busch Gardens, Florida Aquarium, and Adventure Island Water Park. The condo is about 90 miles from Orlando, so also very convenient to the Disney Theme Parks and Universal Studios. The condo is four miles east of St. Pete Beach, Ft. DeSoto Park, and the Gulf of Mexico. It's adjacent to a private marina and about a 1/4 mile from Tampa Bay and Maximo Park at the tip of the Pinellas peninsula. This area of St. Pete is called Pinellas Point because it's at the base of the Skyway Bridge which passes into the next county to the south. Major grocery stores, shops, gas stations/convenience stores are a 10 minute walk from the condo.
Other Things to Note
Free guest parking outside of the condo building is available for visitors with a car. You can also park for free on the street in front of the building.
No smokers, please. Clean kitchen and dishes after using them and keep the condo tidy. Please turn off lights and ceiling fans when you leave condo and turn up the AC to conserve electricity. Thank you!
Maria was very friendly and accommodating and the condo was in a great location. Although we didn't end up using the pool, it was awesome to have that as an option. The private room was bright and comfortable. However, I probably would not stay here again due to the strong cat smell. Also, the bathroom wasn't as clean as I'd hoped... Which could have just been because of how old the building is.
Thanks for your nice comments, Tessa. However, you knew I had two cats when you booked my condo, so I really wish you hadn't if you're so sensitive to "cat odor." I don't want guests like you here who are critical of my pets. I love them and they're my family. The litter box is outside on the balcony, not indoors. My kitties get a bath once monthly. Your nose must be incredibly sensitive to detect a "cat odor." It is about as strong as human body odor--which we all have, right? I find your comment offensive because you chose to book a listing that CLEARLY states that I have two sweet kitty cats. Regarding the bathroom...you left a ton of hair in the tub. I don't charge a cleaning fee so guess who cleaned up after you--me. I cannot say you are overly clean as I had hoped either.
Maria was very nice host, she was very friendly and always replyed very fast. She recomended a few intersting spots in St. Petersburg, which was very helpful for us. The appartment was clean and comfortable, all in all it was a very nice stay.
Everything was wonderful! Our next visit to StPete we will be staying again if the room is available.
Maria was very welcoming and made me feel like family. The listing information was accurate. My experience was very good in all respects. I particularly liked the cleanliness and order of the condo.
Maria's place is great. perfect location for attending the nearby Eckerd College graduation ceremony. very nice, clean, quiet room and apt. Maria is very friendly and accomodating.
Thank you Maria!
