Welcome to Hill on the Bay – a quaint, 3 bedroom/2.5 bath, cottage perched atop a hill overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
You will look out at the water, the beach, and the cliffs and feel like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Stroll along the boardwalk and feel one with the osprey, seagulls, and herons and enjoy the sound of the waves lapping against the rocks below. Take a walk on the beach (Bayfront Park) where you can search for fossils and shark’s teeth and collect sea glass and other treasures. All of this and you are still a short ride – or a long walk – away from all the amenities: a grocery store (with a good wine selection), a drug store (for those toiletries you forgot), and several restaurants (both sit down and take-out). There is even a water park for the kids (or the kid in you) complete with slides, a lazy river, and a kiddie pool. Behind the water park is another boardwalk that meanders along Fishing Creek, where you can enjoy a different water view. Between the water park and the boardwalk is a place to rent water toys, such as kayaks and stand-up boards. North Beach is the next town up the coast where you can find yet another waterfront boardwalk, more restaurants, shops, and the Friday night farmer’s market during the summer months. Annapolis and Washington, DC are about 30 miles away, and Baltimore is an hour to the north.
The house was newly constructed in 2013 and boasts a state-of-the-art kitchen complete with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The open floor plan provides water views from the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The living room includes a 42” flat screen TV and a full size couch for movie-watching (and napping). The first floor Master suite with a queen bed includes its own flat screen TV and an adjoining ¾ bath with a double vanity, shower, and commode. Finishing off the first floor is a half bath and a closet washer/dryer. On the second floor, you will find a bedroom with a queen-sized bed with a stunning water view. This bedroom shares a full 'Jack and Jill' bath (tub/shower combo) with a bedroom that has a twin-sized bed (that can be extended to a king-sized bed if needed). Local artwork is displayed throughout for all to enjoy.
