Melness cottage is a comfortable studio style accommodation on a 2500 acre farm 33km out of Goondiwindi. The cottage is separate to the main house and you will have private entry.
It is only 300m from the highway to our entrance. There is a fire pit area to enjoy during your stay and the creek is a short walk from the cottage.
For meals there is a microwave, Weber BBQ, bar fridge, kettle and toaster. Can provide breakfast.
The space
The cottage was originally a shearer's hut and has been relocated and renovated.
Many guests have enjoyed the peace and quiet at Melness without having to travel too far off the highway.
There is often plenty of birds flying about in the mornings and afternoons particularly along the creek.
There is space for a cot or single mattress/swag if travelling with a younger child.

We are located between Goondiwindi and Yelarbon and the Queensland and New South Wales border. Goondiwindi is the larger town with plenty of shopping, cafes and dining options. In 2018 Goondiwindi was named the best country town in Queensland in an article by The Australian. There is plenty of events on throughout the year to enjoy.
Yelarbon is a smaller village and has recently been added to the silo art trail. There is a lovely lagoon area, general store and pub for travellers in need of a meal or a break from driving.
