Don and Dira were responsive and easy to work with. The home is in a stunning location! Depending on your age, you might find the beds uncomfortable.
Don and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. The house is in a great location - central to all the sights but also just across from the beach and quiet, which made for a wonderfully pleasant stay.
The one thing I didn't realize is that this reservation was for a loft. Once I got over that, I actually think it was nice as the other rooms are close together but the loft has its own floor, couches, a choice of beds, and a private bathroom.
House was clean with a fantastic location. Lots of bugs, but this is normal for a tropical island.
Dons place is so beautiful! My boyfriend and I stayed for only two nights, but had such a wonderful time. The loft was perfect for us. The location is overlooking the water and it was so peaceful. Everyone there was so helpful and had tons of good advice for us. We would definitely go back!
We were well greeted and the setting was fantastic. Also, being able to talk with and interact with local folks was absolutely wonderful. The ocean is absolutely beautiful here. Future guests might want to know, however, that while the property is beach front, access to water is some 1/4-1/2 mile away. Since we were not sunbathers, this was not a problem. One significant problem: beds on top floor are atrocious but surely they will fix this soon.
The location of this villa is more than excellent. Far away from commercially busy towns of West Maui and still you feel in the heart of what Maui is about. Don is exceptionally friendly host. He has welcome us like we were part of his family offering us practically everything his house had. Thanks to him we were able to experience true Hawaiian culture. He gave us great tips on local food as well of safety of our escapades. His house is decorated in good style, bathrooms and sheets were clean. Kitchen is huge and nicely organized. I will recommend his villa and Hawaiian hospitality to many of my friends.
