We have four upstairs rooms currently available. Guests share one and a half baths. A continental breakfast is served. We can provide special arrangements and custom service to meet your needs.
Rose was very welcoming and the place was cool, and much more interesting than a hotel. In addition it is a great location in the historic area close to just about everything. However, not recommended if you are a light sleeper or need to be up early in the morning, the hallway lights shine directly through the interior windows and the noise can be too much with visitors/guests walking around and talking in the hallways all night. Otherwise an amazing place to stay - The library is a nice touch, and the full kitchen is perfect for a longer stay.
Rose was very helpful with our AirBnB questions and the space was warm, country-unique and comfortable with a lot of interesting art and culture. The location was fabulous - on the town square with adorable shops and restaurants nearby - and we will be staying there again.
I can't say enough nice things about Rose Martin. She was prompt, informative, personable, accommodating and made my visit to the Smither Family B&B such a pleasure. B&B is on the square directly across from the courthouse on the 2nd floor. Wonderful antique shops, candy shop, etc. below. A single glass door entrance will take you up to the B&B location. Parking is a bit of a hassle but manageable. The B&B was quite large, with 4 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, dining room, small library & kitchen. And the original safe served as a pantry! The extensive art collection was wonderful, filling every nook & cranny. Clean enough to call it comfortable, dusty enough to call it home. Thanks Rose for the wonderful stay & all your hospitality. I certainly plan to make it back.
We met Rose for one night at the Smither Family B & B.
She showed us around the place and made sure we were comfortable. She also told us where to get ice cream in town.
The B & B is on the 2nd floor and very large! We felt like we were stepping back in time with all of the antiques and (email hidden)ere are many rooms here to stay in. We stayed in the Henderson Room which was a big room with two couches full of art and antiques. We slept in a Japanese type of bed that was very comfortable and ornate. Rose provided coffee and muffins/sweet rolls for our breakfast. It is too bad we couldn't have spent more time here as the place also has a library full of books with a sitting area. Right below the B & B is a bunch of antique stores that we would have enjoyed visiting. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!
The Smither Family B&B has an extraordinary art collection, one could spend hours just discovering all the art and oddities. Rose got us set up efficiently and with little fuss. The location on the Square was very quaint and the amenities exemplary.
Very interesting B and B!! Staff friendly, made us feel very welcome, would recommend to a friend, enjoyed having the place to ourselves without having to interact with owners around breakfast as is the case with most B and B's, atmosphere much more comfortable than other B and B's I've experienced

Hi I'm Rose Martin. I am one of the hosts of Smither B&B along with John Smither. I am a wife and mother of four and grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren that are the light of my life. We are artists and dancers and enjoy the cultural aspect of our sleepy little town. We love to meet new people and would love to have you stay with us. So come on down to Huntsville and stay awhile you'll be glad you did.
