Catherine, a former plus size model with a plus size personality and social conscience to match, is a warm, gracious, outgoing hostess. Her place is as described - cozy, cluttered with the artifacts of a life fully lived, and located in a safe neighborhood with easy access to public transportation and a plethora of restaurants. It's also very quiet for NYC, which I greatly appreciated since I was there for a training intensive, and mostly just wanted to chill out at night. Catherine was late meeting me with the key when I arrived, but genuinely apologetic about her tardiness. Once there, she made me feel completely at home.
The house was exactly ad it shown, small and confortable and in an amazing location, very lively with so many nice resturants and bara around. Catherine is a very intersting person and is so nice to chat with her if she is not busy with work
Catherine was a great host -very social, energetic , interesting and knowledgeable. I would go back to visit her, given the chance.
The location of the place cannot be faulted. Very central to key sights in NYC for first time tourist.
Host was farm and friendly and helped with getting information on restaurants and suggested neat things to do. My only negative was that she was extremely busy and I would have liked to talk to her more about her interesting life. She is also very giving back to the community with a charity she founded. I think the name is Diva Diabetes. The apartment pictures were fine. The bed was large; the mattress was very comfortable and the sheets were divine. This is my first Airbnb experience and it exceeded my expectations. The location was excellent, being a few short blocks from the E train and Lexington Ave line.
Cathrine was a beautiful and warm person who welcomed me as family.
Staying at Catherine's home was wonderful - Perfect location, safe and very convenient to have a trip around Manhattan; clean room with everything I needed; very smooth check-in. And best of all, Catherine is nice, considerate, and helpful. She provided many interesting recommendations, and we enjoyed some really great music at night. Overall it was an awesome experience.
Catherine was a lovely host, complete with a welcome pack and great advice about how to get to the apartment.
She is a live-in host, however gave me plenty of space.
The apartment is small but the bedroom is large and comfortable.
The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe with an excellent variety of restaurants very nearby. A subway station is close.
About the Host, Catherine
Warm and easygoing with a passion for New York and all it has to offer. I enjoy people and am extremely loyal and trustworthy. My husband is in Italy for a year or so working, so I have the freedom to offer my apartment up....it's my pleasure to host people and have the company at the same time. I don't like living alone I'm finding!
