Very nice place with a lot of room. Located on a beautiful property with a bit of a view of the surrounding area. The village is charming and is a nice break from the bustle of Florence.

Our visit was wonderful! Federico met us at the house and gave us a tour of the property, kindly suggesting restaurants and offering tips on traveling around the area. The photos are very accurate. The two couches in the living room were perfect for late afternoon naps after long hours of walking in Florence. All told - a wonderful experience and we've already recommended the place to friends who are traveling to Tuscany in the next year.

I stayed at Macia farmhouse with 4 of my friends recently and had the most idyllic stay. The villa was immaculate and had everything that you could possibly need from expresso makers to tablecloths. A nice touch was that they left some basics like coffee and pasta in case you arrive late. The villa is a little difficult to find especially if you have a bad GPS with your car rental. Frederico who welcomes you and looks after the place was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The peace and quiet of Macia is wonderful and there are some great running paths and hiking trails nearby. The view is amazing. The rooms are large and the beds amazingly comfortable. We could not have been happier and will definitely be back. Don't forget to ask Frederico about the olive oil, honey and soaps that they produce which can be purchased there.

Both Tomaso and Federico were very responsive and helpful. Without air conditioning, it was very difficult in the summer heat. But the 2 fans Federico organized was little comforting. Without a rental car, it is extremely difficult to manage in this house. The big house we saw in the picture or its yard was not available to this side house which do not have good view of the hill and town like the big house next door. Rooms in the main big house will be much better than the side house which we got. For this side house, there is a tree and an old house in the front blocking the view. At lease if the front yard of the big house is available for people staying in the small house, the experience will be better. The BarSport cafe and Osteria Tucano travalle restaurant in nearby Calenzano town are extremely nice and if you are in Tuscany, food or drinks there will be an experience.

Response from Tomaso:
The farmhouse we rent is the only one we rent; it's the one in the pictures; the farmhouse is near a big 17th century Villa, where lives my brother in law who manages the farmhouse (Federico); we don't rent the Villa, only the farmhouse; in some pictures you can see both the farmhouse and the Villa; in my opinion there is a beautiful sight from the farmhouse; you can check it in the picture where you can see both the Villa and the farmhouse from far: they have the same beautiful view.

The House is perfect in every way! The location is lovely, the house is spacious and well maintained with all the comforts. It is on top of a hill, in a very picturesque location. Fredrico was very hospitable and easily approachable as he lives on the same estate. You definitely need to have a car to access this place, also as the grocery stores and the main city are a few kms away. We enjoyed our 5 day stay and would highly recommend it!

We were a group of 4 adults from Australia wanting to explore Tuscany. Tomaso was very easy to arrange with and replied very promptly. The house is amazing. Super clean, almost new inside (but in true Tuscan style) with all the amenities and space you could want. Frederico welcomed us and was available if we had any questions. The farmhouse is in a small village about 20 minutes outside Florence and from here we explored by car to Pisa, Cinque Terra, Saturnia, Florence and Venice. No trip was more than 2.5 hours each way. There is a lovely restaurant and bar at the end of the road and more facilities just minutes away. Very relaxing location with stunning views but just moments driving from anything you need. You could not stay here without a car. The house is secure and there are even security gates to the property. We would give our stay 10/10. Thank you Tomaso and Federico.

Macia Farmhouse was the perfect place for our group of 5 adults. The pictures were very accurate and it was bigger than we expected. Clean and nicely furnished. The location was perfect for exploring Florence (an easy train ride) plus driving through Tuscany (Sienna, Lucca, Pisa, etc). Tomaso was very responsive throughout our time and Frederico welcomed us and was very available.
