Interaction with Guests
Am available to answer any questions and give suggestions on my favorite spots in Asheville and hikes in the area.
Heaven Zen is the highest house on a No Outlet street in North Asheville.
Easily accessible and near everything! The Blue Ridge Parkway is 15 minutes away and you can walk to UNCA, restaurants, a park and the greenway.
There are lots of birds and trees surrounding the house.
Uber is a great option since finding parking in downtown Asheville can be a challenge. You can walk downtown from Heaven Zen in about 30 minutes. Instead of walking down Merrimon, you would go through the campus of UNCA and then down the greenway and right into downtown.
Other Things to Note
The house is decorated with sacred geometry structures, buddha and gene key artwork.
No Smoking in the house.
If you go out and party, when you come home be quiet, sound travels and it is a really quiet neighborhood. Once you are in the house you can talk and laugh normally.
We're very grateful that Theresa was able to accommodate our last minute request! Heaven Zen was bright & spacious, clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities listed in the description. The neighborhood is quiet and full of friendly neighbors, and was 5 minutes away from downtown. There isn't a kitchen space or appliances to cook a meal, but other than that it was great!
Theresa haa made an amazing little oasis on her property. It was perfect for my daughter and myself for a weekend away. Get back to what simply matters with conversation, a hammock swing, a good book and amazing tea and chocolate. I hope her space is available the next time we are headed that way
My wife and I had a lovely stay at the cottage, and Theresa was very kind and accommodating. Lots of great activity options in the area, and a peaceful atmosphere at home.
We had a great experience here. Stayed 2 nights with 3 other people and our little dog. The space is cute, cozy, comfortable, private and in a great location.
The space was exactly as described, a wonderful getaway. No TV (although there is wifi :)) makes for a quiet space. She had truffles, tea and good books. My partner and I ended up staying in most of the time reading to one another, listening to the rain on the tin roof.
I will definitely be back. She's less than a mile and a half from the grove inn and probably less than a mile from merrimer which has great food and is pretty much downtown. You don't feel like you're anywhere near businesses or attractions though.
Theresa's wonderful abode is much more than we could ever have expected. In fact, she has created a sanctuary that is quintessentially "Asheville". In the mornings, we made french press coffee and nibbled on her delicious chocolate truffles. The little "breakfast nook" that she has established in the room also contains wonderful leaf teas from around the world. In the afternoons, in between our town outings and activities, we perused the eclectic book collection in our cottage. And, at night, we rested on a comfy bed with romantic little lights strung across its posts.
We recently moved from Asheville, to the east side of North Carolina, and it was strange to be back in our former town as "visitors". Theresa's place made us feel right at home! I will be back and will always recommend her place, to others.
The place was wonderful and Theresa was very kind to us. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, we just wish we had more time! Thanks Theresa!
