Sugar Pine Escape is a cozy mountain escape that backs up to the National Forest on a less busy portion of the mountain in Sugarloaf, CA. Sugarloaf is a small community that sits just minutes up a small hill above Big Bear City and is only a short distance (approximately 8 miles) from Big Bear Lake, Bear Mountain Ski Resort, Snow Summit Ski Resort and the Village! Take a short drive and enjoy everything that Big Bear has to offer... or if you choose, cuddle up by the fire and escape the crowds.

Decorated with bear theme decor and pine furniture, our place is the perfect mountain getaway when the mountains are calling! The living room has a large brick wood burning fireplace perfect for those chilly winter nights/mornings, an abundance of cozy blankets to cuddle up in makes for a perfect evening while watching a movie on the 43” flat screen TV (Cable, Netflix sign in and WiFi available). The living room couch folds out to a sofa bed to accommodate sleeping arrangements or for extra comfort while watching TV.
The kitchen is stocked and fully equipped with a microwave and a full size stove top and oven for all your cooking and baking needs. There is a BBQ located directly outside the kitchen door for those warm summer night BBQ’s.
The main bedroom is the perfect place to relax and read a book in peace. The log queen size bed and gas stove fireplace in this room makes it feel extra warm and cozy!
There is a sliding glass door in this bedroom which opens up to the backyard for easy access to the deck and SPA.
The guest bedroom is setup up for just that, guests... but is cozy none the less. This bedroom has a full size log bunkbed and is perfect for bunking the kids in, or use it as you please. There is a stacked washer and dryer in the closet of this bedroom for your use.
When nature calls the bathroom is located in the hallway between the two bedrooms and has a full size shower. There is a wall heater that really heats up the bathroom on those chilly days.
Outside you will find a nice size front and back deck with seating so you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or just sit back and relax on the lounge chairs or in the SPA while enjoying the view of the tall pines in the National Forest.
There is a storage shed out back that is mostly dedicated for our guests so you can store your fishing rods, mountains bikes, sleds, skis, snowboards or other larger items you may bring during your stay.
The long, flat, easy accessible driveway provides plenty of parking for multiple vehicles or even a R.V.
