The Garden Apartment (PSTR Permit #2025-20) is a quiet and relaxing home away from home to enjoy after exploring the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

The Garden Apartment features a large bedroom with queen-sized bed, a den with a large sandstone wood-burning fireplace, full kitchen and bathroom with a shower. You'll surely fall in love with this cozy rental! There is a sandstone patio, which offers a shaded sitting area and grill for outdoor cooking, plus a fire ring for evening bonfires.

The space
Established over 175 years ago, Heritage Farms is a 5th-generation family-owned and operated farm situated in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We are a working Christmas tree farm, but that's not all we do. We're also home to The Peninsula Flea, a series of artisan markets hosted during the summer; Pumpkin Pandemonium, our Halloween-centered festival in October; and, of course, in December we offer both cut-your-own and fresh pre-cut Christmas trees, along with wreaths, greens and swags, in the lead-up to Christmas!

We are located near the Boston Mills Brandywine ski resort, Blossom Music Center, several National Park hike-and-bike trails, and much more! Not to mention our centralized location between the hubs of Cleveland, Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, and Kent, you'll be hard-pressed to run out of adventures when you're at Heritage Farms!

Guest access
In addition to the Garden Apartment, we invite guests to hike around the farm* and enjoy all the nature around you. We recommend the gazebo bridge as a wonderful place to relax and read in the afternoon, or a spot for you to end the day with a cool drink while enjoying the sunset.

We also have a number of events that may be going on during your stay with us, and we encourage you to check them out .

Be sure to check out The Peninsula Flea, our 70 vendor vintage and artisan market, held on June 1st and 15th, July 6th and 20th, and August 3rd and 17th. Each market begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes at 4:00 p.m.

Our Halloween festival, Pumpkin Pandemonium, is on weekends beginning the last weekend of September through to the last weekend of October. During these weekends, we will have our activities, hayrides and pumpkin sales open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Apartment guests have their own private parking spot and access to a separate entrance to the farm.* During Pumpkin Pandemonium hours there will be many people in attendance, and as such there may be some noise near the apartment. After 5:00 p.m the farm returns to a quiet, tranquil retreat.

*We are a working farm, and as such we often have heavy machinery and tractors in operation. We ask our guests to please watch for moving machinery and to not go into any of the farm buildings or the farmhouse.

Other things to note
From April to October, we also have primitive camping on the farm. There will also be campers on the property; however, they will not be around the apartment area.

We are a working farm with heavy machinery and tractors in operation. We ask our guests to please watch for moving machinery and to not go into any of the farm buildings or the farmhouse. We try very hard to not disturb our guests early in the morning or after early evening.

There is early morning noise and activity during the Peninsula Flea markets and during opening for Pumpkin Pandemonium.

My work: Agrotourism
I've lived here on the farm all my life. Sharing it's beauty and peacefulness with others is a passion for me. We host many festivals, family reunions and workshops here as well as camping among the pines during the summer. Christmas is extra special because we are a Christmas tree farm. I love to work outdoors so running a farm is perfect. The dirtier my hands are the happier I am. My life's loves are my husband, our 3 rescue dogs and 2 cats, spending time with my Mexican family in Celaya, Guanajuato, traveling to see our exchange students, spending time with friends and family, gardening, hiking, reading a good scifi series and working with dog rescue. At the end of the day I like watch the sunset from one of our camping shelters while I enjoy a glass of wine. Be kind to one another.
