  • For those interested in design and especially the re-use of characterful materials, Alex and Yoga's bungalow is a real joy. Such thought and care has gone into every element of the place, right down to the covering of nail holes with a contrasting timber. Beautiful! PLUS -- extremely practical (eg wardrobe, small safe) and easy to live in, with a great selection of books to read. Best breakfast in Bali, included! Nice walks to be taken in the nearby villages and through rice fields, too -- and ah, the refreshing pool to plunge into when you get home! Not to mention the wonderful staff and delightful, helpful hosts. Thanks, Alex and Yoga, and thanks to your family and staff for a really lovely -- and inexpensive! -- stay.

Thanks Kate for the feedback... great idea about the daybed. Recline and wine and dine at the same time! We'll look into more comfy options which work within the space. We loved having you, hope you can come back some time.

  • Only a brief overnight, but a place I would recommend especially because of the nice view from the room. BTW also nice to read a book in the wind on the balcony with the dog minni next to you

Thanks for coming to stay Edmee. Actually. just after you left Mini jumped off the fence and dislocated her front leg! She now is walking around in a cast with a cone around her neck so she can't pull it off. She is feeling very sorry for herself.
    happy travels,

Thanks for staying with us Vizay. Yes this time is best time as the rice very green and ready for harvest next month. Of course you have to have picture of rice field when you are visiting Ubud. :)
    Cheers Yoga.

  • We spent a lovely five days at Pondok Langon. Alex, Yoga and their family and staff looked after us very well. Beautiful views of endless rice paddies and the breakfasts are superb. We were lucky enough to spend Nyepi, the Hindu day of silence here and it was a perfect place to be. Anything extra that was required was well catered for by Alex, Yoga and staff. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

  • Alex and Yoga. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts and giving us the opportunity to stay in your guest accommodation. We loved it! Some of the highlights for us ..... the view from the upstairs balcony, the fireflies dancing across the rice field, the symphony of frogs at night, the beautiful recycled timber, your kind and friendly staff and of course the breakfast. We were extremely well looked after and would love to one day come back for another visit. My girls enjoyed building cubby houses with Alby and playing with the dogs. A big thank you xx

  • we can't thank Alex enough for her hospitality; though there's not a chance to meet Yoga as he's outstation for work.

We love the tranquility of the bungalow we could enjoy, surrounded by the local paddy fields. The cat and the dog, and the whole crew of staff, esp. Yanni's cooking (oh mine, it's so yummy!!!) made us feel like home! And traveler like you and i know that, to feel a foreign place as your home, is hard to get.

We had our space on our own (me and my two high school female friends). The house is next to the main house, individual yet connected to the host. Everywhere you turn around, there's a salon photo can be taken in this house.

  • Fantastic accommodation, with great views of the fields and a very local Balinese feel while at the same time a relaxing accommodation. You will need a car for this accommodation however that is the whole appeal as you easily venture into ubud or other surrounding areas and then leave to your home. Great breaky too! Highly recommend.

  • Awesome place and view! We were so lucky to find this place. Yoga, Alex and the kids are such a great host. Their staff are great too. We loved their simple yet scrumptious selection of breakfast meals (homemade yoghurt and fruit salad!). Our son really loved to hang out with their boys and often asked whether they would be around when we got home from our trip around Bali.

We're pretty much amazed to see this bungalow, which was built out of recycled timbers and debris from the earthquake in Yogya. For us this place offers a valuable experience of holidaying with a great sense of environment responsibility particularly in Ubud where many expensive villas have replaced rice fields.

We highly recommend this place to holidaymakers with kids. Their pets (two dogs and one kitten) are very playful.

Thank you Yoga and Alex and family. Thank you to Ibu Yuli and her staff. We definitely come back should a glorious opportunity arises in the future.

  • Bungalow was gorgeous! Exactly like the pictures and very rustic, however very clean. Description is true to how the place is maintained and enjoyed. The Girls made excellent breakfast each morning. However, the bungalow is a bit hard to find for a first timer, maybe a sign on the main road or something would help, our taxi got frustrated after an hour of being lost and dropped us at a random restaurant. The owners quickly picked us up and delivered us to the bungalow. Very nice atmosphere and rice field views in the morning.
