The apartment is not suitable for parties or entertaining more than 2/3 people, so please don't enquire if you are looking to use it to gather friends. It is a very quite and tidy building and has to stay as such. No pets, and smokers are highly encouraged to smoke in the patio and not in the studio. Electricity is charged separately depending on the consumption as displayed by the meter reading
The flat is so beautiful and really close to the most important spots in Florence! I loved it!
Michele's apartment is nothing less of wonderful! I had an amazing time staying here and wish I could stay longer. Very convenient area, very clean and new appliances inside, and very great communication between Michele and I if there was ever anything to be discussed! Stay here if you can !
First of all, Michele is a very nice host. He was very welcoming and easy to communicate with.
The studio is very tidy and easy to access to many well-known places by foot.
I enjoyed a lot staying at his studio during my stay which was over 2 months.
I loved this little apartment. It was my home for a month in Florence while I went to school.
The photos are accurate but taken with wide angel so it seems a little bigger than it is. Everything is new and it has all the equipment you need, like washing machine and ironing table...and even might have things you don't need, like the dishwashing machine....which you probably couldn't fill up even though you'd put every plate in it. It would be nice to have some more cooking utilities like one or two good knives and wine glasses. I bought wine opener and left it there ;)
The closet is very big and the bedsheets were beautifully ironed, one bed made and extra sheets in the closet. Also nice clean towels.
The apartment is easy to clean and take care of.
The location and neighborhood was perfekt for me. The apartment is just 2 min away from the station and close enough from the centrum to be there in about 5 min and far enough to get away from all the tourists and pay less for the food. There is a Conad around the corner, I had one of the best pizzas in Florence just on the other side of the street in the Grotta di Leone and there is a awesome pasta restaurant when you walk the street in direction to the centrum...(tourist prices). The river Arno is also just 2 min away where you can watch the sun set.
There is some traffic on the street but the apartment has doubled windows which blocks out most of the noise.
The wifi is fast and reliable and the TV nice...if you find time to watch it.
In the summer it does get quite hot and the air-conditioning can not reach the upper floor but there is a good ventilator which I moved upstairs (it has a timer so you want have to let it run all night) and when it was too hot, I slept downstairs on the bed sofa which was perfekt.
Bathroom is nice and shower is good.
The only thing to be careful about is the electricity. I was not much at home, never used the oven or the dishwasher, the first two weeks I never watched the TV (after that I did watch Radio Italia for italien music when I was at home), I also did not use much light but I did use some air-conditioning (25°) sporadicly to cool down and then turned it off since I don't like it too much. I never used it in the night and always turned it off when I left. Still the bill was 56€, so count that in. There is a meter down stairs where you can see your usage.
Michele is and reliable and correct.
I miss "my little home" and would love to come back.
Stayed for one month (June 2014).
Good: very clean, appliances and utensils very new. Wonderful location (1 min to main train station, 5 min to Duomo). Michele and his family are nice and accommodating. Wifi and tv connection is strong.
Bad: terrible smell in washroom. Air condition very weak, impossible to sleep in summer months. Michele was kind enough to bring a fan to help, but still very hot.
I would stay again.
The reservation was canceled 67 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
