About this listing
Castelrotto is a group of 3 farmhouses that make up a Borgo, or a hamlet. Each of these houses, Casanova, Fagianaia and Fienile, have been completely renovated and restored in what we fondly refer to as a Rustic-Lux style. The borgo is located in the middle of the Castelnuovo Tancredi wine estate, which is situated in the renowned area of the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO HERITAGE SITE. This is Tuscany, tried and true, and it is the perfect starting point to visit this incredible part of Italy.
The 3 farmhouses are completely surrounded by nature and can accommodate up to 19 guests, in a unique hamlet type settlement. The farmhouses vary in size and accommodation capacity, respectively: 7, 8, and 4 persons. A beautiful swimming pool in the center of the complex has a unique view of the valley over the olive grove. A large room on the ground floor of the main house, the "museum room" has been recently restored respecting in every way its country roots and is also used for events and weddings.
Guests have free access to the common swimming pool and the opportunity to immerse themselves in a vast area of Castelnuovo Tancredi Wine estate-600 hectares of uncontaminated tuscan countryside where organic grain, olives and wine are produced.

The true spirit of Tuscany has changed so much in the last years, and sadly, not always in a better way. Our purpose at Castelnuovo Tancredi is to maintain our property as true as possible, in all aspects: wine, olive and primarily- hospitality. However, often this isn’t the most popular in todays world.
You will not find a shabby-chic ambience , nor an industrial design in our villas. These trends that have became so popular in the last years all over the region, resulting in a transformation of the spirit, the sense, and yes, also the image of Tuscany.
A very special man told me once that in our Estate he was able to feel the energy of this land. He defined us a Rustic Luxury Estate, and by “Rustic”, he insisted on clarifying, he didn’t mean broken, ugly or old, but simply "True."
So we will not change our colors, nor will we abandon our tradition and our history, because we truly believe that #thisistuscany, and our duty is to preserve it.

For us the land is more than something we inherited, instead we consider it a loan from our great-great grandchildren. Our job is to conserve it in every way we can, and when possible make it even better.
