I had a great stay with Maeve and Ken! Great location, was given lots of good info on the area and great travel tips!
We had a very enjoyable stay with Maeve and Ken, and we were made to feel extremely welcome. They really opened up their house to us and made us feel at home. They were always very friendly at breakfast and showed a genuine interest in our trip, going to every effort to ensure we got the most of our visit. The room was comfortable, clean with a modern decor and the house was well situated with good transport links to the airport and city centre. We never had to wait more than 2 minutes for a bus! We couldn't have asked for a better B&B and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Dublin. Thanks a million Maeve and Ken!!
Maeve and Ken are a cute couple and super nice people. Their house is clean, beautiful and well located. Loved our stay there.
This is our first AirBnb and first trip to Europe! What a perfect way to start our travelling experience. Our overnight flight arrived in Dublin very early. Maeve and Ken were in touch with us before we landed about dropping out bags off at the house until the previous people had checked out of our room. We hung around the airport having breakfast, getting Euros, and using the free WiFi. We used the bus that they suggested from the Airport and it was only 5-10 minutes away. There home was easy to find, being right across from the bus stop.
Ken greeted us at the door and made us feel welcome right away. He showed us our lovely room, the bathroom, and how to work the hot water for the shower so we could get cleaned up. The people staying in the room must have left in the morning, because they had the room all cleaned up before we got there! When we came down to the kitchen we met Maeve and had some coffee and tea with them. They were very easy to visit with and gave us great tips about how to get around and what to see. They even lent us their Leap Cards that give you a discount on bus fares without needing exact change.
The next day, they went out of there way to buy gluten free bread for us for breakfast. The location of their home is great, being half way between the city center and Dublin airport. We wished that we would have stayed longer! This is definitely a place that I would recommend to friends and family and I would stay here again! Thanks Maeve & Ken!
For my first time using air BNB I must say, I had a very rocky start. 30 hours before I was expected to leave with my previous reservation being cancelled I was quite concerned about what my trip was going to end up like. I contacted Ken and Maeve and was so incredibly grateful I ended up here!
From the second I walked into their door and even now being home from my trip their warmth and kindness hasn't stopped amazing me! They go above and beyond for absolutely everything from letting me check in early, to opening the hot tub cover for us, to leaving us leap cards for the bus so we didn't have to worry about change, knowing where and where not to go, for truly being interested in how our day went!! The list can go on, there were many days we were up and gone by 6 am... Maeve always had the table set so we could grab a quick bite in the morning before we left. She was even so generous as to call us a cab for our early morning adventures! From the dinner Ken cooked too much of and ended up saving for us to eat when we arrived home, the wine and dinner conversations, they were both even so kind to allow us to keep our bags there while we took a quite flight over to Scotland! Everything down to the messages to see how our trip was going and even offering to take our bags to the hotel the morning we arrived from Scotland. These two made our trip what it was and we can't wait to come back for another adventure and say hello!
I can not say enough good things about these two wonderful people, do yourself a favour and stay here!!!
