A magical place, inside and out. This feels like a $450 / night cabin -exquisite taste, exceptionally functional, and a beautiful part of the country. I can't wait to go back. (Don't miss the pileated woodpecker.)
Yet again we felt extraordinarily lucky....once when we first saw the photos, then again when we were able to stay, and finally when we arrived to the fairytale setting. A really comfortable cabin that was clean, well equipped......and made us say, "wow" as we opened the door? We recommend this cabin whole heartedly....our stay was lovely. Thank you Angel and Chris.
The cabin was fantastic. The decor was a nice counterpoint to the woodland surroundings and very comfortable. Angel was very responsive and the cabin was generously stocked and prepared beautifully. We would stay there again in a minute.
Angel and Chris' place is probably fine for the fall or winter. The landscaping is very nice, aside from the surrounding marsh, and there is a grill and screened in porch which could be fun. Just visit during cooler months.
I went with friends in July and it was sweltering (as there is no A/C), and very buggy. The house doesn't have much of a cross breeze, and the fans provided (one small ceiling fan and 2 tiny hand-helds) were not helpful. The house is surrounded by a marsh so there were bugs everywhere. We ended up buying 2 small fans for the bedrooms and a french press because the espresso machine (there is no coffee machine) didn't work and there were no instructions to be found.
Angel was easy to work with and even gave us the discounted rate when I asked for it.
Lovely and cozy. Our favorite room was the screened porch, where we could spot giant woodpeckers and wild turkeys in the early mornings. I was excited to see the Pileated Woodpecker and wondered if it was a coincidence that the interior decor was red and black to match. Either way, it was a stunning little cabin, conveniently located to the Catskills.
It was fine!
what a cozy and relaxing cottage.
i spent the weekend at angel+chris' upstate getaway and was delighted by the care and precision put into the place.
not only was the house lovely all by itself but the two had prepared it in such a welcoming and gracious way.
This stylish, intimate cabin nestled in the woods creates a fantastic opportunity to "get away from it all". The screened-in porch is tranquil and lovely. Gorgeous mix of mid-century European furnishings. Lovely property with plenty of wildlife to keep you entertained. About a 20 minute drive to Hudson, where you can enjoy upscale dining and great antiques shops, should you need a diversion. However, we found little reason to leave once we had groceries and great produce from nearby farms. We will definitely return in the fall/winter, if available.
Fantastic. From booking to the cabin itself, everything was perfect. This wonderfully appointed cabin is located in a truly pristine setting -- making it a perfect place to "get away from it all" for a few days. The host is also top notch -- Angel truly went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant stay.
