About this listing
Wonderful 2 bd guest house in scenic, peaceful, rural neighborhood of Monte Nido. It's only minutes from the beach, PCH, Pepperdine U., and the 101, but you'd never know it. This neighborhood is nature at it's best. Fully equipped eat-in kitchen.
It's a comfortable homey place in the middle of a gorgeous woodsy setting. There are only 10 homes on this street, very quiet, except for nearby rooster, peacock, and the occasional coyote yip.
Living room, kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, walk in closet, and outdoor dining patio.
Interaction with Guests
During your stay, we will be in the main house...available if you need us, but otherwise out of your way.
Quiet, rural, lovely old California oak trees, the Santa Monica Mountains, and all the wildlife. We have deer, coyotes, fox, and bobcats.
Definitely need a car.
Other Things to Note
Great hiking trails everywhere in neighborhood and surrounding area. Malibu Creek State Park is very close. Unless you have Sprint, cell phone service can be spotty. No TV, but broadband wifi is available.
No smoking in the house, and no pets please. I have quite a lot of fine art and collectable dinner ware, just treat it as if it were your Mothers.
Deb was the perfect host. We felt so welcome like visiting an old friend. We had wine, fruit, muffins, milk and butter left out on arrival as well as the use of an amazingly stocked larder, then Deb bought over a pack of cereal and more milk for breakfast for our boys to save us going out again.
The house is beautiful and so much larger than the photos. The location is perfect, near enough for Malibu (10 Mins) and Los Angeles is 45 mins away, perfect to return to the tranquility of Deb's house afterwards.
I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.
Deb met us and issued my two boys with body boards, she was delightful and informative. the fridge had been left fully stocked and Deb had even left us a bowl of fresh fruit.
During our stay Deb provided us with bigger body boards and kept us informed of local events as well as providing plenty of local information.
Perfect stay. Lovely host. Beautiful home. Magical neighborhood and lots to do. Deborah is so sweet and nurturing.
What a beyond lovely time we had at Deborah's! She was there to greet us and she is so warm and welcoming. Her place is beautiful and much more spacious than it looked in the pictures. We stayed here for 10 days and could have stayed longer. A beautiful community and home. We took walks and said hello to chickens, horses, turtles, peacocks and deer!!! The beach is close and so was the market and restaurants. Her decor is envy worthy and her sheets are soft. The breeze at night had me sleeping snug and deep. Deborah had left us wine, bagels, fruit and juice. She has a fully stocked kitchen if you need to cook. I highly recommend staying here. My daughters want to go back and visit her soon! Oh, try out the hammock and enjoy a cuppa outside at the table!!
My husband and I stayed at Deborah's home this past weekend. Deb was very nice and made us feel comfortable and welcomed! The house is very beautiful, the decor is awesome and there was everything we needed! It is a very pretty, and quiet area! We enjoyed the patio very much! Deb suggested several good restaurants and we tried a couple of them! We highly recommend Deb's home and Deb as a terrific host! Hopefully, we will stay there again in the future!
Another fantastic stay at Deborah's place! This has become our favorite place to stay when picking up/dropping off our son from College in UCLA. It just feels like home: so comfortable, goodies/wine in the refrigerator, I don't see how anybody would prefer a hotel. Thanks again Deborah, and see you soon!
My friends and I stayed at Deborah's guesthouse for 2 nights and had a very positive experience. The location is beautiful (you absolutely need a car), the house was comfortable, and Deborah was the perfect house. We'd definitely stay here again!
