The listing was exactly accurate. For the location, you can't find a better place. I will definitely recommend to other friends staying in the areas. Brenda's son met me to show me the apartment and go over the "house rules." Added perk that I was not expecting was free WiFi - which was really great. Everything was clean, neat, and organized!
I have just returned from my stay at Brenda's apartment and I have to say this place was great! We arrived very late at night and left very early in the morning. Brandon, Brenda's son, was very accommodating with our flight times and met us when we arrived.
The apartment is very central to the main avenues, where there are lots of restaurants, bars and shops!
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to stay in Brooklyn and I am looking forward to returning in the future.
Although we never met Brenda, her son Brandon was a very responsive and helpful host, and we appreciate how flexible he was about our changing arrival time.
The apartment itself was very clean, cozy, and had all of the basic amenities you would want. It doesn't have a ton of character, but most people are not coming to NYC to hang out in an apartment anyway. It's on a gorgeous Brooklyn brownstone street in a great neighborhood. I'd definitely recommend it--and the other 2 studio apartment the family rents in the building--to others traveling to the area.
My husband and I recently stayed in this apartment. I agree with other comments that it is clean and the kitchen is well equipped . However, the beds are a single mattress on a bed frame, low to the floor. The blankets are stiff, old and not warm. I asked for more blankets and was given another thin, stiff blanket. The apartment was very cold during the night.
I would stay again only if they have proper beds and bedding.
