Respectfully - as if it were your home, or your friends home. The items we have in the house are special to us, the cabin is our sanctuary.
We loved staying at the cabin! It was exactly as it looks in the photos. The location was great, about 100 yards from the river. The kids went nuts, the adults relaxed. There's a nice little park just down the street, and a dam where the kids can go in the river. The cabin was very charming and comfortable for a river vacation. Thanks Kari!
Communicating back and forth with Kari was incredibly fast and easy. The location of her cabin is excellent, a short walk to a public beach and a short drive into main-street Guerneville. We made use of the fire pit each night, the outdoor space is very comfortable. All in all Kari's cabin made for a very relaxing getaway.
We all loved staying at the Charming Russian River Cabin. It was the perfect spot for a group of friends that are super comfortable with each other. The kitchen is well stocked and there are lots of games to play. It has a lot of rustic charm - we all loved the out door shower.
Thank you Kari!
Yikes! We found the cabin dirty, full of broken things and lacking important items. Two nights in their cabin made us feel most unwelcome.
Kari said that the cabin wouldn’t be ready for us until three hours after check in because the cleaners would be there. When we arrived we found we were surprised to find lots of dust and cobwebs in the corners and windows. Did cleaners really come here? The longer we stayed the more we noticed was dirty. When I contacted Kari she apologized but didn't offer to help.
There was no toilet paper, and no hot water in the bathroom faucet. Faucets dripped and a door wouldn’t stay shut. The kitchen was out of salt and there was a used men’s razor on the window sill above the kitchen sink. Ew. The smoke detectors had been disconnected and sat on a pile on a window sill across from a stack of food stuffs, with a sign that read: “No Touchie.”
There’s more little stuff, but I will leave it at that. We finally got through to the sisters the morning that we left. They were polite and surprised. They offered us a small discount.
Right as we were leaving, the bed in the living room gave way when my husband sat on it. I texted our host to inform her. She replied that the bed had belonged to her great grandparents, and we must have been jumping on it. Really?
It’s definitely someone’s rustic cabin rather than a market ready vacation rental. It’s a nice little property and well located. With a little TLC and hospitality, this could be a nice place to stay.
Perfect location! We spent most of our time at the lovely beach minutes away on foot and were happy to come back to this cozy house. Thanks Kari.
Great stay in this little cottage!
It had all the amenities that one needs and extremely comfortable beds! Great stay!
This was my first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better! Kari was so welcoming and the cabin is amazing! It's got a great open floor plan, and high ceilings with awesome exposed beams... make the place feel much larger than it may be. The beds were very comfortable and we got a lot of use out of the outdoor fire-pit. I rented it to spend Christmas with my Mom/Brother that flew up from Texas, and it was just what the Dr ordered. I would def recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and recharge the batteries for a bit.
