The space
Relax in our cozy vineyard cottage in the middle of your own vineyard. Some vines on the property are over 100 years old and testify to the centuries-old viticultural tradition of the area. The house is quietly located on a 5,000 m² plot, surrounded by fruit trees and a natural deciduous forest. With a little luck, at dawn or dusk, you will see the roe deer regularly visiting the vineyard below the house. In spring you can discover rare species of orchids in the forest directly behind the house. The house was built in the 1920s in the typical local vineyard house style and completely renovated in 2004. In 2019 a new kitchen was installed and the wooden balcony renewed. It is located in southeastern position on a hill with fantastic views over floodplains, forests and the picturesque towns of Bad Sulza and Bergsulza. Watch the colour play of the surrounding deciduous forests in the autumn months.
You reach the house via a staircase through the vineyard. The Weinberghaus has a kitchen-living room with cosy wooden furniture and a seating area for 6 people. A modern Philips Ambilight flat screen TV and a radio/CD player are included. The top modern IKEA kitchenette is equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, mini oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils. Enjoy your breakfast or a glass of wine on the spacious balcony overlooking the vineyard.
The bedroom in the wood-paneled pointed floor can be reached via a steep staircase. Two comfortable single beds (200 x 80 cm) are available, another extra bed can be provided. The bathroom with shower, toilet and fluffy towels is located in a separate outbuilding right next to the vineyard house.
Especially in times of COVID-19, our guests appreciate the large plot for private use, the small number of cases in the district of Weimarer Land, our reliable hygiene protocol and the flexible cancellation conditions.

I have often experienced the hospitality of others on my travels through Germany, Asia and America. I like to get to know not only the country but also the people. I would like to give something back and show my guests a piece of my homeland - the Tuscany of the East - with its most beautiful facets.
