Although we're known for our tranquility, Carrabelle, with its deep water harbor, is less than a mile away. The fishing is great and you can enjoy local restaurants and seafood houses offering some of the finest oysters and seafood in the country. It is a 20 minute drive to historic Apalachicola for shopping and fine dining or to the St George Island beaches. Golf is (email hidden) James Bay Golf Resort. Kayaking is also popular and it is not uncommon to see manatee during your paddle. The area is world famous for its birding and migrating butterflies and there are four lighthouses waiting to be climbed.
