If it has snowed or rained, please take off your shoes before coming inside. Feel free to use the dishes, just wash them after use. If you come home late at night, be mindful of neighbors and keep the noise to a minimum.
Staying with Noel and Rachel was a dream! They are amazing people, so kind and welcoming. If you are looking for a place to stay in NYC, don't hesitate to book with them. :)
I had an awesome stay with Noel and Rachel for about two weeks. They were such sweethearts, gave me tons of recommendations in the area and were very fun to be with. The room was much bigger than I expected with a lot of space for my personal stuff.
The area has a lot of good places to eat, the trains were close by and running every few minutes, even at night, reaching Manhattan (Times Square) in about 20 minutes. Rachel showed me around when I arrived even though it was already late at night and leaving late my last day wasn't an issue as well.
I had such a great time in Astoria and I'd definitely be happy to stay with Noel and Rachel again. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you so much!
Staying with Rachel and Noel was a nice first introduction to using Airbnb. Rachel and Noel were friendly and helpful; they were also a good source of local knowledge and information about places to go, things to check out, and how to get around the city effectively. They were also kind enough to let me arrive early and collapse into bed for a nap after taking the overnight flight from California, which was much appreciated :)
The neighbourhood was pleasant, bustling, ethnically diverse and full of good food options; I felt totally safe coming and going, even well into the night. The place is an easy walk to a couple of metro stations and the $30 7 day all inclusive metro/bus pass which I got on arrival at the airport made getting around the whole City super easy and affordable.
The apartment is clean and sweet - just like having a place to come home to - much more agreeable than a hotel stay. Thanks!
I spent a month with Noel and Rachel and it was a wonderful experience that passed by much too fast. Noel and Rachel are amazing women and they did so much to make my stay with them very special, shared food and time with me, took me to great places and gave me recommendations. We had very interesting and fruitful conversations. Everything was easygoing. The apartment is nicely designed and spotlessly clean, the room is cosy and the bed is comfortable and there is enough storage space. The kitchen is very well equipped. Astoria is a great neighborhood, especially for food lovers.Subway connections are good. I was sad to leave and absolutely recommend staying with Noel and Rachel.
I had a lovely stay and Rachel and Noel are wonderful hosts. I would throughly reccomend staying here.
This was my first experience with Airbnb and it was five star all the way. The apartment is incredibly cute, cozy and very clean. It is everything that is promised in the listing with an incredible, unmatched location. Very close to amazing shopping on Steinway street and multiple subway stations to get you into Manhattan with ease. And it's an incredibly safe neighborhood. I walked everywhere day and night and never felt uncomfortable. Overall, the best part of my stay was meeting Rachel and Noel. They are genuinely kind, creative, generous hosts who open their home and their hearts to you while being completely respectful of your personal space. They are both smart, fun girls who are lovely to hang out with and always quick with an awesome recommendation. I was new to the city and they really made me feel at home. They are seriously some of the nicest people I have ever met. I am honored to have stayed with them and now to count them among my friends. If you are looking for a safe, friendly, all around wonderful place to stay, do not hesitate to book this GEM.
