Rockridge is truly a special area -- the streets around this house are interesting, flat, and very walkable. College Avenue is one of the nicest shopping districts in Oakland with world class foods, great clothing and book stores, and cafes. BART, the local subway, runs only a block away, making it an easy, affordable 20 minute ride into the heart of San Francisco. You can also take BART easily to and from the airport. We are very near Berkeley and the University of California as well. An unbeatable location!!
Your (friendly) dog is welcome, for an additional fee of $20/night. The backyard is completely secure, and my dog Luka loves company.
Come enjoy a cozy Rockridge getaway and explore all the Bay Area has to offer. I'd love to have you,
Interaction with Guests
There is a separate entrance so you can be completely private. If, however, you feel like coming up for a glass of wine or tea, that would be lovely! Your choice.
Smoking is ok on the patio only, please.
The laundry area is shared space, but I will check with you before using it.
Amy was very welcoming and made check in and check out simple. The space in general is large, plenty of room however the bath is very small.
While Amy Draizen was away at the time of our visit, her roommate Kate was friendly and welcoming when we arrived. She later stopped in to make sure we were comfortable. The suite was spacious as described --and was an ideal living space for us while we visited our son in Oakland.
This was a terrific place for us that last two nights of our trip in California. We went to see colleges in the SF and Oakland area and for Berkely and Mills, it was perfect. The accomodations were very nice. It is a very comfortable and private suite. Amy's instructions were perfectly clear and parking was easy right out front. The location was superb. We could walk to restaurants, go a very short drive to Whole Foods, and when not rush hour, make our way into SF very easily. We will probably stay again if we return to one of those schools we visited. Thank you Amy!!
Amy was an amazing host, she was sweet, welcoming, and warm. If you need to stay in berkeley, you will not find a better place for this value: this place in the heart of hip Rockridge was the perfect location for a memorable week. Could not recommend in stronger terms.
Thank you Amy!
Amy was accommodating with our arrival time. The bedroom is very generous in size and the apartment is extremely convenient for all shops, cafes, the Bart etc. The decor was quite worn in parts and I felt the apartment was in need of a deep clean. The bed and bedding were comfortable.
The Owner very graciously greeted us. She we getting ready to go to Costa Rica, but she took the time to show us around. It was a very spacious apartment, which we really loved. It is just a block from the Bart which was soooooooooo convenient.
Location was ideal close to College and all the great restaurants. Awesome neighborhood in Rockridge/Oakland. Would stay again if the opportunity comes up.
