The Space

Hi there I have a single room which I dont use in my flat. I live close to the metro stop Furio Camillo (line A) in San Giovanni Area, few metro stops from the city center. The area is safe and vivacious, there is a second hand market everyday and food market with fresh products. I have wi fi and I can suggest about places and restaurants. I'd like to host nice and friendly people, who want to enjoy normal local lifestyle :)

  • Our stay at Michele was really nice. Great place to stay in Rome. Local food isn't too far away, but need to know where your going.
The room was a described, but the wifi was dropping in and out.
All up, it was a great place to stay and easy when in Rome.

  • I really enjoyed my time at Michele's place. He is a great host. He sat with me to show me things on the map and recommend places to go. I enjoyed out talk! The space was perfect for me, and I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you Michele!

  • Michele is a very polite and considerate host. His room is spacious and clean. He has absolute trust on his guest and provide necessary assistance whenever required. One point to note is that the metro near Michele's place does not have elevator, only stairs. Similarly, there are also some steps to climb as the room is not on the ground floor. Thus, try to keep your luggage light, if possible. Thanks Michele.

    Response from Michele:

Just to clarify, the metro stop near my flat has the elevator. just few stairs at the entrance are traditional but they are very few (10 steps i think).
In my flat there is no elevator because it's only 2 floor's building and my flat is at the second floor. thanks for opportunity to clarify Vic

  • Michele was a good host was helpful and kind. Went through things around the house I should know about and also gave me some reccomendations around Rome and the area on things to do.

The apartment was easy to get to from the metro. Then metro was a 5 min walk and easy to get in and out of the centre.

  • Michele is a great host and speaks great English. I felt immediately at home! The room is large, quiet and clean. The location is good too, as the apartment is located is only 4 metro stops away from Termini. Definitely one of the best Airbnb experiences so far!

  • Michele is a perfectly courteous host with an honest interest in his guests. He is very accommodating concerning the arrival and departure times and communication before arrival and during our stay worked perfectly fine! The room was everything it promised online; spacious and bright, clean and comfortable. The rest of the apartment was neat and clean as well and immediately felt very homely. The neighborhood, San Giovanni, is a very lively and most of all as good as tourist-free (except for ourselves, of course) area that is nonetheless close to the city centre. There are nice local restaurants and bars in walking distance from the apartment and a mouthwatering market around the corner in the mornings, where you can have cheap breakfast and work up your appetite. My recommendation is that you should definitely rent a scooter (also here Michele was very helpful and suggested a cheap (email hidden). Maria Maggiore), since it 1. is super fun, 2. gets you into the city within 5-10 minutes (and the streets are just gorgeous) 3. allows you to cruise through rome by night, when there's little to no traffic. In conclusion; we really enjoyed our stay at Michele's and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome!

  • Michele and his appartment was great! I didn't see Michele a lot, but we had a couple of nice chats - he's been travelling a lot and although I wanted to speak italian he also speaks good english. The appartment is really well situated, only 5 min walking to the metro and a couple of stops to Termini/the city center, that's really good for Rome! Also I really liked the neighbourhood, it's great for a pause from the touristy center and has many nice cafés and also many places with asian food! (haha, I guess most people want italian food, but as I've been travelling in Italy for a while this was perfect!) Try out the San Crispini gelato place 15 min walking, it's a new shop from the legendary San Crispino near the Trevi fountain. The room is big and the bathroom too. You can use the kitchen. The only draw is that Michele smokes inside, I guess it would be a problem for people very sensitive to smoke. I just kept the door to my room closed and aired it.

  • Words can't describe how much I enjoyed my stay with Michele. He has a great personality and amazing sense of humor, and is just a fantastic person from whom to learn more about the city and Italian culture. As a student of the Italian language/culture, I really, really appreciated the fact that he was willing to converse with me for hours on end in Italian, even though he's quite fluent in English and could've spared himself a lot of confusion and pain, haha!

As for the apartment, I found it to be quite clean, my bed was really comfortable, and I liked the location. It's far enough away from the city center to be very quiet and peaceful, and without a lot of tourists bustling along, yet it's easy to reach the city center by the metro, which is close by.
