Relax on the upper deck or on the lower terrace, enjoying the pristine, clean air, mountain views, and the soothing sounds of the river.
The unit’s open floor plan accommodates large family gatherings or casual adventures with friends. Your party can enjoy beverages by the fire after a long day on the slopes or before an evening on the town. Beautiful downtown Durango is so close, you can cycle or walk along the bike path in to town if you choose not to drive. Or, walk a few minutes from your back door to Zia Taqueria or Serious Texas Bar-B-Q, arguably two of the best restaurants in Durango.

The town of Durango, which is a 4-season paradise, is growing southward. This unit is in the heart of all the activity. Business and residential units populate the neighborhood, and Durango's quaint historical downtown with its bustling activity and college-town vibe is just a 5-minute drive away. People float past on rafts, or cycle past on the Animas River Trail, so you always feel like you're on vacation. Where else can you enjoy Gold Medal rated fly-fishing right outside your back door, and then come inside for a hot shower and a great meal?
You can walk to Zia Taqueria (after exiting your back door, cross the bridge over the river, and walk up the dirt path), arguably one of the best restaurants in Durango. You can catch a bus into town there, or simply walk, skate or ride your bike along the river trail to downtown. This unit has two heated underground parking spaces a level 40 steps to your front door.
The airport is a short 17 miles away.

Appreciation for the quiet enjoyment of your neighbors is expected: quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. For an additional fee, we allow up to two dogs that are well-behaved and that are neutered/spayed and can provide proof of rabies vaccination. Dog(s) must wear a collar that has its owner's phone number clearly-marked. Dog(s) must be one-year-of-age or older. It is not permissible to leave your dog(s) unaccompanied at any time in the unit. Smoking is NOT allowed at any time in the unit, nor anywhere in the RiverGate complex. No charcoal grills can be used on the deck, nor on the terrace, nor anywhere in the complex, but a gas grill is provided for your use on the deck. Only cars can be parked in the parking garage: no trailers, RV's, or boats.
The condo was as described and was a perfect location for our stay in Durango. The entire place was very clean and was stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We were greeted with a nice welcome gift of coffee and chocolate, as well as a goodie bag for our dog. The rental experience was very professional. Unfortunately there was a problem with the sewer which required limited use of water during our stay. This was a problem outside the control of Veronica and the condo and I think the city has resolved this issue now. Veronica kept us informed of the city's progress and refunded a portion of our rental fee for the inconvenience. Highly recommend. Would have given 5 stars but for the issue with the sewer which had a negative result on the overall experience.
Veronica was very responsive and helped us arrange a very late arrival. She even had a welcome gift of coffee; just what we needed the next morning. Perfect.
Excellent location right on the Animas river. The loft was beautiful. Great place to stay, highly recommended.
The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The host thought of everything to make our stay smooth & relaxed - from a well supplied kitchen including a welcome basket with chocolates & coffee, to the quality of linens to the most comfortable pull-out sleeper ever! Instructions were clear on the specifics of where things belong, how things work, things to see/do in Durango, etc.
The location was great for our stay. We enjoyed the 2 mile walk along the pathway to the historic downtown. The pathway also provided quick exercise options and a short trek to the natural foods store - yummy breakfast goodies!
