Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
An experiential gathering place for creative thinkers and adventurous people seeking a true Scrantonian encounter.

The space
Convenient first floor entry overlooking garden with morning sun. Santa Barbara inspired flooring greets you in this spacious two room living space. A queen size bed and easy work space feature fast internet and variable Phillips lighting ( from your phone with Hue app)
Henry’s on Clay ( breakfast and lunch)and Zummos Cafe ( coffee/tea lunch) are great places two minutes away. Gavin’s is the closest corner bar experience. Mansour’s must be experienced for their great breakfasts and lunches. Downtown, universities, national parks, and shops are all 5-7 minutes away. I live on the third floor and my photography and film business has been on the first and second floor since 1988. My grandfather had his corporate office here since 1944. Home was built just after 1898.

Guest access
Rear center door is the private entrance. Rear porch and garden are great for morning sun or evening chill. Host has no access.

Other things to note
There is a queen size bed in the living room and this is a great space for a couple or a single person doing business or simply chilling. Phillips round lighting switch near the entrance has three lighting levels and is synced if needed for ambiance. Google Home is optional( on desk, simply say” ok google” and the ask for any music or question. Please always remember to turn off the heaters when you are not in the house. Printer and desk are convenient for business travel.
Plenty of “on street” parking. Henry’s on Clay is the closest restaurant just up the street.( breakfast and lunch only) Zummo's Cafe, open till 6pm, is a few blocks away and is a local gathering spots for premier coffee/tea shop. Mansour’s is a bright open restaurant with a coffee bar and spacious seating for breakfast and lunch 2 miles away. ( I go there a few times a week) Jacks is a great bar with tasty food and music some week nights. Music can be found at Crotti’s or Finegan’s. A list of nearby shops and attractions can be provided.

Green Ridge is a quaint quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown (1.5 miles/2.8km)
Zummo’s Cafe is a three minute walk and features Electric City Roasting Co. coffee. This place was a penny candy store and shoe repair place owned by the Zummo brothers, Vince and Tony. They do serve food seven days a week until 6. Henry’s on Clay is a must experience breakfast and lunch place up the street.
Lots of other cool places within minutes. Take a walk around the block and enjoy the beautiful giant trees mostly over 100 years old!
