The house was very nice, and being that close to the coliseum was great. Everything was as directed, and I got very quick responses from Alice. Never met her, but there was a receptionist there who was very helpful.
Room was a good size, but we didn't spend very much time in the room. Our room was on the street, and it was a little loud with the window open, and we didn't know if it was safe to leave the window open on the ground floor. It got very warm in the room when the window was closed. Maybe a fan in the room would have solved this.
All in all a great experience.
I had requested a private bathroom. There are no private bathrooms in this house and I wasnt told that there wasn't one available. Using a bathroom that was left dirty by other people wasn't very pleasant. I would not have booked this room if I had been told.
I requested a 2nd blanket on the 2nd morning and when i returned it was not there. Initially I was told to go to another room but the linen in this room was dirty, then I was told to lift up the mattress on one of the beds to find some. Not acceptable.
Bedside lamp was broken and there was only 1 in the room. Behind the bed was full of dust. The blanket on the bed was stained.
I requested twice directions to a college and never received any details.
Breakfast was a coffee and croissant in a cafe across the road - pretty miserable.
Location was good. I would not stay here again unless you are happy to stay in a hostel environment.
Communication with Alice was smooth and easy. She responds very quickly.
Alice's place was as expected. The room is spacious, close to the Colosseum, metro is just across the street, you have a mini fridge, a water boiler for thee, ... so very good for city-trippers! We definitely enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast is included and you can go to the nice coffee bar across the street. They have great coffee!
Keep in mind that this place does not have a shared living room or kitchen so don't expect to watch TV or to cook something yourself.
Since the room is between a big road (multiple lanes & tram) on one side and the 2 shared bathrooms (that guests tend to use on every hour of the day) on the other side, I would not recommend this room for light sleepers.
It was a nice experience here. The Indian man in the reception is really nice. There are two shared bathrooms, one is very big. We lived in room5, it is not very big but is enough for two persons. The breakfast was served in a coffee shop opite to the accommodation, including a drink and a bread. It was yummy. If u think its not enough, I recommend u to have the sandwich. The subway is just beside the coffee shop, quite convenient. U can also store the luggages in reception.

About the Host, Alice
Hello to everyone i'm Alice , very pleasure to all travelers .
I am happy to introduce my person and my structures.
I came from Tuscany, I was born in Livorno, but I've always lived in a seaside village called Tirrenia , where I live until the age of 19 years with my family . My family at a beautiful restaurant called " Il Toscano " of Leonardi . Is in the restaurant of my parents that I think I've learned since I started helping at age 16, the first fundamental bases for the welcome and respect for the guests/client, but first of all for the person.
At age 19 I moved to Rome, where I earned a degree in marketing and business communication.
In those years I shared an apartment with people from all over the world who came in Italy to study, with whom I have close friendships still lasting .
Since 2011, I have begun to accommodate people from all over the world also for short periods.
Today the group Alice 's House has 3 apartments of which two " Boutique Hotel " and one " Holiday House ." The names are "Alice 's House - The Queen," "Alice 's House - The King" and "Alice 's House - The Princess ," are all central and well connected with the city center and the most beautiful places in Rome.
Each of them has its own characteristics and each traveler can choose the style you prefer. The common thread , however, the group is always " We are sharing the world”, so has begun and will continue so.
Me with my staff put our heart and thanks to the constant dedication and passion from 2011 to the present Alice 's House is growing .
We thank all of you for all the great reviews and we expect you soon in our structures.
The names are "Alice's House-The Queen", "Alice's House - The King" and "Alice's House - The Princess", sono tutti centrali e ben collegati con il centro e i più bei posti di Roma.
