Perfect location to experience the beach town lifestyle. This quaint apartment is 2 blocks from the serenity of Manhattan Beach. Take a less than 10 minute walk on the strand to the Pier and downtown Manhattan Beach.
This is a two bedroom apartment with two queen sized beds. Both bedrooms are fully furnished with queen size mattresses. Fresh towels and linens are always provided.
Most weekdays guests will have access to street parking, full kitchen with all necessary cooking supplies, Wi-Fi and cable.
Interaction with Guests
I am available in the area if guests would like to meet to ask any questions or exchange keys in person; otherwise I will stay out of the guests's way so that they can relax and enjoy the space in private.
The apartment is in prime location if you want to experience the South Bay beach life. Manhattan Beach is notorious for being the best beach in LA. You will hear the ocean at night and every morning open the front door to sea the ocean. Walk a minute down a hill and you are at the strand where you can pick up a volleyball game, ride your bike down to Hermosa Beach or Redondo Beach or up to Marina Del Rey. You will immediately notice the numerous runners and walkers along the strand or the surplus of surfers and stand up paddlers taking advantage of the location.
A list of favorite restaurants, shops, activities and drink locations will be provided.
Bikes are the easiest way to get around Manhattan Beach and rentals are available in the area. Street parking is provided it guests have a car, but otherwise I would rely on Lyft or Uber X to get around.
Other Things to Note
This apartment is part of a 4 complex building that was a house converted into apartments. The walls are thin so it asked that you respect regarding noise.
I do not allow pets as it is a rental, there is no smoking and I expect guests to respect my place by treating it and my things with care.
The apartment is described very accurately and the location is great. Natalie was also good to communicate with - we had a few issues and she was able to fix them. The one thing that you have to be aware of is that you are staying in a very old motel-like apartment, despite the 200/night price because the price is I guess very low for the area so you get what you pay for, given the market. If you are ok with a bit more rundown place but located beautifully, and are easy-going and don't mind the host's belongings to be around - it is the place for you.
Fantastic location! Only a couple of blocks from the beach and the beautiful architecture of The Strand. A 7-10 min walk to amazing food and shopping in Manhattan Beach. The place itself was basic but charming and cozy to hang out in. Natalie left plenty of towels (bath and beach!), clean sheets and the like; love the bathroom heat lamps in the winter!
The outside bedroom got a lot of light and some street noise in the morning; if you are a light sleeper I would probably pick the back BR.
All in all an affordable alternative to expensive hotels in the area, especially if splitting it with a few others.
Natalie was very easy to communicate with and her apartment was just as it looked in the pictures- clean, comfy, and modern.
This was such an inviting place! We only stayed one night over New Yeara Eve but it has such a wonderful, homey feel. She even left cookies and food for the morning! I wish we could've stayed longer- it was so close to the beach! Would definitely stay again :)
The location was amazing. The price was fair. The place could definitely have been cleaner. The host could have been more accommodating. Towels, blankets etc. were very, very limited. Probably not an ideal space for a family.
The apartment is consistently scrubbed clean, it is old but never unclean. To say towels and blankets are limited is simply not true. I always leave out one complete set of towels for each guest, I leave out beach towels for guests and each bed has a complete set of sheets, a blanket and a comforter on the bed. I do not leave extra towels or blankets out unless I am made aware of extra guests staying at the house so please be sure to let me know the exact number of guests staying at the apartment.
Had a great time at Natalie's apartment. It was 2 short blocks from the beach and a short walk to all the shops and restaurants in Manhattan Beach. Her place was clean and as described. One of the beds was a little wobbly but she assured me she would get that fixed right away. Four people were able to comfortably sleep with room to spare. She even had Christmas decorations!
Loved staying in Manhattan beach and enjoying the smoke-free city. It was the perfect girls' getaway weekend!
