Petite Maison and ' situated in the heart of the historic center , is little more than a minute walk (200 meters) from Piazza Unità d' Italia and is a strategic point for those who wish to choose a stay in Trieste for culture or simply to treat yourself to a holiday shopping .
Trieste is one of the most beautiful and fascinating Italian city , known for its wind the wind that , as Stendhal wrote , " makes you hold your hat ," because otherwise you'll mess up the identity ... the past , the present and the future.
A saying says that in three days, " the Bora nassi in Dalmatia, where the scadena in Trieste and died in Venessia "
The apartment is located a few meters walk from all the most ' important monuments : Piazza Unità d' Italia offers a majestic glimpse of the sea. Opposite is the nineteenth-century Town Hall, the baroque column topped by the statue of Charles VI and the Fountain of the Four Continents . Along the right side of the square is the Palazzo del Lloyd line , and the proverbial old shipping company with two allegorical fountains on the facade , and the eighteenth-century Palazzo Pitteri . On the opposite side , however, the coffee housed in the Palace of Mirrors Stratti and the Government Palace . Move away from the beach means through a maze of ancient streets , teeming with life, pubs and clubs. It crosses the Little Square , the route of the Old Muda and you get up to scale gold medals and the remains of the Roman Theatre. Start the climb up the hill of San Giusto , the oldest part of the city, until the eighteenth century, surrounded by walls. The first stop is the church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Immediately nearby is the small church of San Silvestro, in Romanesque style and with a simple rosette . Proceeding meet the Arco di Riccardo , one of the ancient gates of Roman times by the Emperor Octavian, the nineteenth-century Villa Pancera and the Institute Carducci , in whose cellars are the remains of an early Christian cemetery basilica . The Civic Museum of History and Art is placed not far away and mostly preserves archaeological collections of the nineteenth century collectors .
On top of the hill stands the Cathedral of San Giusto and , on his side, the small church of San Michele Channel . At the edge of the cathedral square is situated the ancient Castle of Trieste, in 1470 , a fortress built by Frederick III .
Place de la Bourse , where you can admire the beautiful Old Stock Exchange Building , (phone number hidden) class , and the sundial which once marked the end of the trading business . The property overlooks the picturesque view of the Canal Grande in Trieste , a small inlet of water that comes from the sea to the church of St. Anthony. Dug in the middle of the eighteenth century to allow unloading of goods from the port directly to the warehouses , the channel offers one of the most beautiful views of Trieste Carciotti Palace , Palace Aedes and the neoclassical church of the Holy Trinity in the background.
Things to do in Trieste seem to never end , but you can not leave the city without visiting two of the major historical attractions of the city, located along the gulf and the coast: the Miramare Castle , Trieste icon par excellence, built in the second mid-nineteenth century in white Istrian stone and tied to Maximilian of Hapsburg and Charlotte of Belgium , and the Victory Lighthouse .

I met with Luciana's daughter, everything went smoothly and as planned. The apartment is really great - clean, spacious and bright - definitely recommended! My only suggestion is to install wifi :) Thanks Luciana!!!!
It was a nice neat apartment, though we got another since the original we have book was without heating. These apartments are within the city centre thus due to heavy traffic they are tend to be noisy. The only downside if the place that it was without WIFI internet. Great place.
Buon rientro a Roma.
P.S. a proposito l'esame come è andato?
The apartment has a great location, was just as described, clean and adequately equipped. One of the unexpected amenities was how quiet it is given the dense residential neighborhood. Luciana provided everything we needed and was available to respond to any problem.
We enjoyed our stay in Petite Maison which was very clean, nicely decorated and uncluttered. The rooms are spacious and light streams into the living area.
It is ideally situated a short walk to the sea and the Piazza Unita where you can find the Tourist Information. It is very close to a bakery, supermarket and lots of cafés.
Luciana met us when we arrived to show us round the apartment and it was easy to contact her - she responded quickly to any communication.
If we return to Trieste we would be happy to stay here again.
Trieste was an interesting city and it was easy to explore the surrounding area. Using the local bus service we went to the Rosandra Valley and Duino and Miramare castles. We also went to Muggia by ferry and took the old tram to Opicina.
