  • John was great quick to communicate and very helpfull. His place is a short walk to the subway and only a few stops from Times Square which is where we spent most our time. Make sure you get subway 2or 3 home or ul be walkin for ages. I stuffed up my check in and arrived a day early which he was very accommodating to. We left two days early due to We found it was quite noisy a lot of sirens and outside noise and the normal people coming and going within the house as it's shared with a few people. Shared bathroom but only had to wait for little in the morning. Thanks john you were a great help :)

  • We had a wonderful time in NYC. John was the perfect host. Everything was very clean.

  • We stayed with John for 2 nights and had a very good time. The room was clean ready for us and John was still up eventhough it was almost midnight. Thank you, John! We loved the location, just a block away from Central Park. We did see a good deal of Central Park! John was very friendly and a great host. He gave some good advises for our short stay.

  • We stayed at John's house for a week in mid February. John is a very
outgoing, helpful and responsive guy who did whatever he could to make sure
    we were comfortable.

It's worth noting the room has been redecorated and now has a low profile
    bed.

The place itself is located near two subway stations - about 5 minute walk
to each, which was very convenient. There is also excellent heating.

  • The apartment is very well located, since it's few minutes walking from two tube stations. The room as well was nice and comfortable even if it was not one of those shown in the pictures. In spite of having been waken up around 2 am by John cooking his dinner or 7 am by him playing music on youtube, my stay was in the end decent but I must say that I do not think that this experience was into the airbnb mood on the contrary it looked more as a pretty standard hostel: many people and one bathroom (not even 100% clean for my standard).

  • I stayed for two nights at his appartment and I must say he has a lovely big apartment in the Upper East Side. The location is excellent, he has two metro stations very close and Central Park is just two minutes walking from there. It is very clean, I had bad experiences in other places I stayed at in New York.
About John, he is awesome. He really takes care of his guests and will be always friendly and helpful.
I strongly recommend his place and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed staying there.

  • John was a great host, very knowledgable of the area and always up for a late night chat. Apartment was clean and tidy, and kitchen proved to be a valueable resource as we were trying to keep costs down (however a toaster would have been handy haha). Apartment is in a great location and we felt safe walking the streets of the neighbourhood. A little bit noisy for us small town folk, but i'll put that down to New York City and their never ending emergencies. Thanks for all the help.

    Jess and Alex.

  • After staying 7 nights in John's apartment, we can definitely recommend it to everyone. The apartment itself is clean and has good facilities (bathroom, heating, wifi, free towels, etc). It's conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood, close to central park and to the green and red metrolines. Most important: John is a great host! He is a very likeable, social guy and gave us valuable advice. We had some great times with him which we will not soon forget. We will definitely book again with John when we come back!

  • John is a wonderful host; helpful and very pleasant. The apartment is neat, clean and close to public transportation. Even the doorman was helpful. We will definitely stay again. Thanks, John for contributing to another successful AirBnB experience.
