This is a real forest getaway nestled in the Wicklow mountains. With a delightful, airy apartment, accessed by a long, tree-lined driveway, you're only a mere five min drive/20 min cycle from Roundwood village. Set in 55 acres of natural woodland, abundant with native Irish wildlife.
Tranquil setting, close to local restaurants and traditional pubs. Lovely walks on-site with river access. Located close to Glendalough; Wicklow Way; and Powerscourt demesne.
The space
Our apartments have windowed frontage, that gives the feeling of light and space. As you open your door, the countryside is all around, just a few steps and you are in the forest. It is an old established habitat to a variety of native species, such as red squirrels, pine martins, deer foxes and badgers. It is truly a tranquil spot, with no street lights to mar the stars at night. The silence is remarkable, with no traffic , just the birds calling in the trees.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to walk the woods and tracks around the property. Visitors are welcome to visit the stables, but we do ask that you check in with a member of staff, and that children are always under parental supervision. We value your welfare, and that of our livestock, and will be happy to show you around, and introduce you to our horses.
Riding can be arranged for an extra fee.
Other things to note
The apartments are situated adjacent to the equestrian centre, that offers lessons and woodland treks. This is a small operation, so there will be some activity, but it has shown to be minimal and not intrusive.
