A historic neighborhood centrally located to everything in Atlanta. Our house looks out onto Grant Park, and is walking distance from Zoo Atlanta, the Cyclorama, and historic Oakland Cemetery. Walk to great restaurants/bars/coffee shops within the neighborhood.
There's a parking area behind our house, and you may also park off of the street. (It's cool; we do!)
Make yourself at home in our spacious, sunlit living room that overlooks trees and the back deck. Cook dinner with fresh herbs from our garden. Play your iPod over the kitchen sound system- our space is yours while you're here!
Interaction with Guests
I won't be present during your stay (I'm off at college), but my mom Elizabeth and our roommate Forest ive in the house, and are willing to answer any questions you may have while you're here!
Grant Park is the oldest city park in Atlanta, Georgia, and is surrounded by a quiet Victorian neighborhood.
Downtown Atlanta is just around the corner- it's a 10 minute drive away, and nighttime skylines can be seen from the park.
Parking behind the house (1 spot), or around the side of the block. We are a 10 minute drive (30 minute walk) from the nearest local transit (Marta) station.
Other Things to Note
King- sized bed should be more than enough room for two people.
We have a very friendly cat.
Please check in before 10 pm.
This is a 3 bedroom house with my mom and her roommate. They're friendly, but please respect their privacy and do not enter their rooms.
No smoking inside.
Well behaved and house-trained pets are allowed. We do have a cat- so please only bring cat-friendly dogs.
No commercial vehicles (such as tow trucks) may be parked on the street in front of our house, and there is only room for one car in our back parking area.
Great stay at Katherine's house! It was such a great pleasure to know Elizabeth and share our stories, and we loved Belle, their cute cat. We enjoyed our 3-day stay in my dream house! Perfect experience!
Elizabeth was an amazing host wonderful to talk to and hang around, she also enlighten me to what was going on in Atlanta to which, I was quiet unaware. Which made my stay that much more. Also the house is lovely and the bed ;). Being located where she is getting around was easy as pie.
Let me just say Thanks again Elizabeth for letting me into your home and taking care of us.
What a fantastic place to stay! So much so that we are going back in 2 weeks time at the end of our road trip! Katherine is so great to deal with and Elizabeth is such a wonderful host. She went out of her way to make us welcome and ensure we saw all the great things in Atlanta. The area is really cool and the house itself is really beautiful-we had even more than we needed. Looking forward to going back again :)
