Victorian period 3 bedroom terraced house with garden.
Tooting Bec is a leafy area of South West London, close enough to the centre for quick and easy travel but far enough away to feel removed from the madness of a big city.
I have been hosting for a while, have great feedback and love hosting. I have found for this to be a great experience for all my home suits guests on vacation, short stays and the mature guest. Students may not enjoy the experience. This house is not for people whom enjoy going out late or coming in after midnight.
As a matter of security, I kindly ask that you fill your own profile out fully and add a picture before inquiring about a stay, as third party bookings aren't covered by Airbnb's insurance. I like to get a sense of who is staying so please include a little bit about yourself/your trip when enquiring about a stay.
Centrally located between Tooting Common and Broadway, not more than a 5 min walk from the house Tooting Common provides a large expanse for leisurely strolls or a jog with the locals! or a swim @ the Tooting Bec Lido.
15 minutes walk or hop on frequent bus to either Tooting Broadway or Tooting Bec Underground (Zone 3). 10 minutes walk to overland train. Victoria Station, Oxford Street, Buckingham palace, London Eye 20 minutes.
I Would be happy to accommodate two as the room has double bed however number of occupants must be confirmed prior to booking.
I sometimes accommodate more than 2 people with a second double bedded room.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare breakfast or use microwave, laundry facilities for guests staying 5 days or more, separate living area with TV and wifi throughout the house. There is a cleaner once a week and bedding is changed every 7 days too.
As a host I am happy to help with anything you need or simply guiding you to London's best restaurants and hot spots.
The shower/bath is shared however there is a separate WC downstairs. This has not usually been a problem.
*The property is not suitable for children.
*No pets allowed.
No smoking please.
While the arrangements are flexible this house would not suit party people who enjoy going out late or coming home after midnight. While we welcome guests to use the kitchen to prepare breakfast or use microwave it is essential that the clearing up is done soon after and the dishes stacked in the dishwasher. This is a friendly home, we will be respectful at all times and expect this to be reciprocated.
We ask that no friends/acquaintances are allowed in the house, unless included at the time of reservation.
- Please no alcohol or food consumed in the bedroom.
- Please ensure windows in the bedroom and bathroom are locked securely when leaving the house
-Ensure doors are closed and locked as you come in and out of the house.
-If you are use the garden, make sure the door is locked after use.
Clare has a lovely home. She was super welcoming and the whole experience was really easy and enjoyable. I would definitely stay again. Thanks Clare
Thanks so much Clare! A lovely, clean and stylish house to stay in and Clare was a great host, very informative and happy to help where she could. Nice residential street so quiet at night, but easy to get to tooting's buzzy streets and market
I cannot recommend Clare and her delightful house enough! From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable. Everything I needed was provided, even things I hadn't thought of! Clare helped me get a local sim card, train tickets and gave me all sorts of guidance on where to go and what to see etc. I am so grateful to Clare for making my first few days in the UK so special and fun.
Clare is so lovely, really friendly and made us feel very welcomed in her beautiful home. Our room was lovely, bathroom was immaculate clean with loads of hot water. She was really helpful and gave us loads of information about the area and the various transport links. Getting into London was a short walk and then hop on a bus straight to central London. Easy access to other areas as well. A great base to explore from.
A really beautiful home in a quiet residential street - a perfect bolt hole from Central London but with multicultural surroundings, bars and places to eat. Clare is a wonderful host, laid back, engaging and very thoughtful. Thanks for a fantastic stay, we will be back no doubt in the near future!
Clare was a great host, friendly and made me feel very welcome. The house exceeded my expectations, the photos don't really do it justice! My bedroom was very spacious, clean and immaculate, along with the rest of the house. Clare has created a chic and stylish home which was a great base for me as a tourist. It is close to bus stops and the tube, yet the house is situated on a lovely quiet street. Excellent location! I would definitely stay here again and I will be recommending this property to my friends!
Thanks Clare :D

I throughly enjoy my work as well as the time off it allows for travel.
As a Londoner I love exploring the city by bike, with a camera and checking out the places the tourists have yet to discover.
