The kitchen is the social hub of the house.

Guests have sole access to the house including bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, living room and back garden.
The house is 5-15mins walking distance from all the main shopping areas, best restaurants and most museums. I work in the hospitality and entertainment industry and have an good insight into some of Dublin's best kept secrets.
Interaction with Guests
I will meet you on arrival to hand over keys, then the house is entirely yours! I will respect your privacy 100% but I can supply extensive recommendations for a variety of activities in the Dublin area and around the country should you need them. Call me for other on-the-spot recommendations and I will normally answer or reply within an hour.
See my guide book and map at the bottom of the listing for a sample of my recommendations.
The house is situated at the edge of the bohemian Camden Street, Wexford Street and Portobello area but is also considered as 'South Inner City' where most of the Dublin nightlife is. Synge Street is less than 10 minutes walking distance from Dublin's main shopping and restaurant district surrounding Grafton Street.
Although only one block from the main street, Synge Street is surprisingly tranquil day and night.
Our neighbourhood is very central but offers an alternative to the regular Dublin tourist traps even though Temple Bar is a mere 12 minute walk away.
Dublin is a walking city and this house is very centrally located, but we are also 3 minutes away from bus stops bringing you directly to the airport and other city areas. The Luas light rail service is also nearby and 'Dublinbikes' are available to rent right around the corner 24/7.
Other Things to Note
• The south inner city is the true city centre where all the best shopping, cultural activity and nightlife is. Visitors are often disappointed when they stay in the north inner city and discover the O'Connell street area is NOT the the focus of Dublin urban activity and has very little street life at night.
• See my guide book at the top righthand corner of the listing for a sample of my recommendations.
• Why not stay longer and use the house as a base for your complete Irish visit? Ireland is small and I can recommend several day trips from Dublin all around the country.
• Parking permits are available from me for street parking in front of the house at a cost of €1.25 per day.
• Please make sure to lock the front door when going out.
• This is not a party house.
We had a wonderful time staying at Lex's place while we were in Dublin! The flat was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. It feels lived in, with many interesting decorations, which worked for us. Lex even left us a 'welcome' treat of local cheese, bread, and bubbly when we arrived! The location was great with lots of unique and tasty local restaurants nearby and it was within walking distance (15-20 min) of many major attractions in the city. We would definitely stay here again and wish we could have stayed longer!
Lex was very helpful and responsive to questions before we arrived. He provided excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants. We were met, on time, by Lex in his lovely home. The home was as described and pictured. He takes great care in making his home welcome to travelers, providing fresh bread and cheese, nice linens, and fresh flowers. The location is great, quiet area but around the corner from pubs, restaurants and main streets. Trinity and the city center are a 15 minute walk. Highly recommend.
Lex's home is fab! Cosy, comfortable, clean and stylish. Great location within walking distance of some cool eateries and also close to tourist attractions. We were made feel very welcome on arrival and the complimentary bread, cheese, fruit, and prosecco was a lovely touch. Lex was in contact over the weekend to make sure everything was going well for us. Had a great couple of days-I would highly recommend it!
Lex's place was amazing as usual. Everything was spotless and lex is a great host. Always looks after every need. Thanks again lex.
PERFECT! - We met Lex when we arrived, a little earlier than expected but he was very flexible. Our stay in Dublin was for a surprise weekend for my partner and Lex played along perfectly! Lex left us some edible treats in the house as well as some prosecco and took time to give us loads of tips on Dublin - the ones which we tried were excellent. He also included a recommendation for a club called the Licor rooms - we had a brilliant night there with our friends and family. The house itself and decor is beautiful and a great place to base yourself - being a short walk into the commercial and eating/drinking area, but having a residential and quiet feel. The garden was a good size and well provided with tables and chairs etc. Internet was good and strong. We thoroughly recommend Sister Sadie's for brunch around the corner. When we left the house, Lex again was flexible allowing us to leave our bags in the house for an extra few hours so we didn't have to walk around with them. All in all a fantastic stay and look forward to going back at some point. I would say it comfortably sleeps 5 (one person in the sitting room). The bedroom layout isn't great for 6, but is more than doable for a couple of nights.
Not only is the place in an excellent location (within walking distance of Grafton street, Trinity college, restaurants, pubs - but on a quiet street) Lex is a friendly, accommodating host. Would definitely stay here again!
The house was great! Lex was super responsive which was greatly appreciated. He had cheese, bread and beer for us when we got there. He provided tons of information about what we can do and where we can eat/drink. We had 3 couples in the house and it was just the right size (each couple had their own space). We had everything we needed. The house is really cute, very well decorated and great location. The back deck was perfect for the group to decompress at night or to just relax with a cup of coffee in the morning. If you're in Dublin, stay here, you won't regret it.
