Mercedes is a great host and my stay was very pleasant and relaxing. I saw a large swan on the lake, and I look forward to my return.
Mercedes and Roger were great hosts. They were very kind to me and always made me feel included in the community. At the same time, I was free to go about my business. The house was in the perfect location for my internship and the lake was beautiful too. Overall it was a great experience, and I'm thankful Mercedes hosted me for two months!
Mercedes was a good hostess. There was an issue with the stove not working and she got the problem resolved within a couple days. While the stove wasn't working, she took extra steps to make sure that we were comfortable. She opened her house up to us while the stove was broken. I would be happy to stay at one of Mercedes properties again.
This was a true retreat to a very serene and relaxing surrounding. The house is located on top of a hill with panoramic views of the lake (Hopatcong) and beyond. Its spacious for 2 and has all the basic amenities one can expect. We hiked the streets with rolling hills and there are many nearby parks as well. Mercedes is a kind and energetic woman who makes you feel instantaneously at home. A minor issue we had was the family downstairs had the TV switched on a little louder than normal!
My friend and I stayed at Mercedes' over the Thanksgiving holiday and we had a really wonderful time! Mercedes graciously provided us with absolutely everything we needed, the place was clean and adorable, and she even helped us secure a rrde back to the train station on our way back home! I would definitely recommend staying at this quaint little pink cottage for the week or weekend! (So long as you have a car...we brought our bikes...New Jersey is very hilly!)
