About this listing
We live in a beautiful 4000 square foot 5 bedroom home on a quiet cul-da-sac across the street from gorgeous Kate Sessions Park off Soledad Mt. Road in North Pacific Beach. We also have incredible views of Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
Leading to the room there are stairs opening up to a Moroccan style tented patio area, couch and propane barbeque for your enjoyment. The guest house has its own private entry from our part of the house and private parking. We have a shared washer/dryer, and common eating area with only the other guest.
The bedroom suite has a comfortable Queen size bed, large closet and its own 1/2 bath within the room. The master bathroom with a shower and tub are just down the hall and only for guests of the Sunshine Room. The room is comfortable for two.
There is a large dining and social area equipped with a electric tea kettle and k cup coffee machine, kitchenette, fridge and microwave that is shared with the other guest. It is perfect for a quick meal or snack. No oven but does have a double sided burner.
Sea world is close by and in the summer you can see the nightly fireworks from the outside patio.
Towels, a beach chair, cooler bag and boogie boards are provided. Free wireless internet included. Complimentary coffee, tea, and seasonal fresh fruit, is a nice way to start your morning. Barbeque outside on the outside patio. We have bikes that can be borrowed with a hundred dollar deposit, they are first come first serve.
We are a small fun loving active family who live on the property and you might see or hear us see us around the property. Our home is above and separated from the bed and breakfast this is why we try to keep the prices of the rooms low.
The entrance to our guest rooms have a separate and private entrance from our part of the house. Each guest room has their own private bathroom and shower.
We are here if you need something but also respect your privacy and hope you will respect ours. You may not meet us during your trip but we are close by if you may need anything. (We do have a small pug that only enters our part of the house that you may see in the front yard. He is a sweetie.)
There is a local Farmers Market on Tuesdays providing assortment of fresh produce, cheese, olives, fish, meat, fresh flowers, art and crafts. There is also a great boardwalk along the beach and bay that is perfect for walking, jogging, and riding bikes close to the house. The sunsets are amazing along the beach.
We are walking distance to Garnet Ave and the bus line 30 which will take you to Downtown or La Jolla. Garnet Ave is bustling with many local restaurants bars and shops. Plenty of parking on the street if you choose to rent a car.
We also have two beach cruisers that can be borrowed with a $100 cash deposit that is returned at the end of your stay.
A lot of our guest have used Uber or taxis to get around. If you choose to rent a car there is private reserved parking for guests.
One of my favorite restaurant bars to go to is Costa Bravo a rustic Spanish tapas bar walking distance to the house on Garnet Ave. On the weekends they have live Flamenco dancers and singing. The Patio on Lamont Street has a warm ambiance, outdoor seating and delicious food. The La Jolla Cove is a great place for snorkeling and basking in the sun. Grab a snack or Cappuccino at the Goldfish Point Cafe.
The guest house and entrance is separate from the upstairs part of the house. Coffee, tea, and seasonal fresh fruit, is a nice way to start your morning. There is also a washer/dryer, and common guest eating area kitchenette, microwave and refrigerator. It is perfect for a quick meal or snack. No oven but does have a double sided burner.
We provide towels, a beach chair, umbrella, cooler bag, sand toys, boogie boards and free internet. We also have two beach cruisers that can be borrowed with a $100 deposit that is returned at the end of your stay. They are not brand new but work just fine. There are bikes for rent on Garnet ave if you want to ride a newer beach cruiser.
The bus line #30 is on Grand Ave and will take you to quaint and luxurious La Jolla or the other direction bustling Downtown San Diego.
