We spent two nights at Richard and Ros's place and cannot recommend it enough. The ensuite room we had was cozy, modern, super-clean and the bed had a very, very good mattress. The house is in a good location for a lot of the local sights and attractions. Richard and Ros are extremely interesting folks and shae the house with their spaniel Scrum who is possibly the most chilled out dog we've ever met. Scrum is super-sociable and will befriend you almost instantly. Richard and Ross will gladly share their knowledge of the local area with you - where to go, what to do, where to eat and more importantly where NOT to eat :-). They're really nice and interesting people and are always open to a chat and sharing experiences from their very interesting lives. We felt very much at home and we will remember our short stay with them. If we ever go back to the area, we hope we'll be able ot stay with them again!
My husband and I had an enjoyable three nights stay in Richard and Rosalyn’s airy, clean and tidy place.
With glass as the main element of the building, the house is flooded with light. It provided a lovely ambience for having breakfast, which consisted of toast with home made marmelades and freshly prepared porridge or müsli.
Their location is well situated for the Brecon Beacons National Park and the charming town of Hay on Wye.
The hosts have intimate knowledge about the local area, providing valuable information about what to do and where to eat out.
I would recommend them without reservations.
Richard and Ros were wonderful hosts. Their home was comfortable, and our room was cozy and quiet. Ros prepared a delicious breakfast which included her homemade jams. Her quince was yummy.
Richard and Ros live in a lovely area close to the Wye River. We took a long walk along the river before we continued our trip to Hay-on-Wye, a lovely town of bookshops about 15 mins away
. We highly recommend Richard and Ros if you're traveling in Wales.
We had a lovely weekend with Richard and Ros. They were fountains of knowledge about the local area (where to eat, what to do) and everything else! Fantastic cooked breakfast, very comfortable accommodation with lovely views and a friendly doggy!
We hope to stay with them again in the future!
