The space
The house has three bedrooms as well as a pull-out sofa. Six to eight people should be able to comfortably enjoy the space. It has a large, walled, beautiful garden, safe for kids to run around in. The community regularly sprays for mosquitos, so one does not have the mosquito problem found in the typical home or neighborhood. We have wired the house for solar lighting so in case of a power outage you don't need to buy diesel for the back up generator because you will have the solar lights and three solar powered fans.

The neighborhood is part of a gated planned community, Ghana's first. There is a large multi-national population, and the area is very well maintained. There is easy access to the coast, the Accra Mall, the airport, and downtown. The community is well maintained with strict standards. Once you enter, you will think you have left Ghana. It has manicured, tree lined streets, good roads and proper sidewalks. It is super safe for kids and morning or evening walks or jogging. The roads all have speed bumps so cars must drive slowly. It has a large maintenance staff and security guards that monitor entry and exit. No one is allowed in unless a phone call is received from a resident. Taxis are especially monitored. About a quarter of the residents are non Ghanaians.
