Single Bedroom in South London

House - Private room · Vestry Rd, Camberwell, England SE5 8, United Kingdom

The Space

Single bedroom with private bathroom in modern townhouse in South London Zone 2 (Camberwell, London Borough of Southwark, postcode SE5). The house is on three floors -kitchen, laundry, garage and garden on the ground, large living-room and guest bathroom on the 1st and bedrooms on the 2nd. The bedroom on offer has a single bed, bedside table and chair, chest of drawers, and its own private bathroom and closet (with a rail for your clothes) down a flight of stairs. Both the bedroom and bathroom are completely free from clutter as I frequently receive guests. The whole house is immaculately clean and tidy and of course I provide clean linens and toiletries.
Even though I live just a minute away from the main road with lots of buses into central London (direct to Oxford Circus, Piccadilly, Victoria, etc), I am in a private mews which benefits from an extremely quiet location. There is a nice park across the street and Camberwell School of Arts / the South London Gallery are on the main road. Camberwell (email hidden)ly area with cafes, restaurants and food shops within walking distance.
My calendar is up to date but it's probably best to contact me with any questions you might have before making a booking.

  • Gabriela's a wonderful and charming host! The room is clean and comfortable and quiet since it's on the inside of an off-street mews on the 3rd floor. Separate bathroom on the second floor is clean to a fault - it even has a little device that automatically spritzes the room with fresh scent when you walk in! Apartment is about a 3-minute walk from a bus stop that has buses that will take you to Victoria, Oval, or Elephant & Castle Stations on the Tube. Just bring something to read on the bus for the reasonably short 10-15 minute ride each way (depending on which station you're going to and the time of day). Breakfast was delicious and healthy. I recommend Gabriela highly!!!

  • This is an immaculate room not far from central London. Perfect if you want something a little bit away from the hustle and bustle, but with great connections straight to town. There are some great restaurants nearby, and plenty of conveniences. Gabriela is a lovely host, with wonderful taste, and very welcoming air. Thanks!

  • I had a lovely time at Gabriela's home. She is a wonderful hostess– very considerate and respectful of privacy. It is a bit of a journey into the city, but using the buses was convenient and easy. She made sure that I knew where I was going and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying with her.

  • The Room was spacious and very clean, the bathroom well appointed, and the location good for London and all I wanted to see (including commercial art galleries). There were even nice touches, with excellent quality handwash and body lotions. Gabriela was a thoughtful host, although we didn't see much of each other - we were very busy! Overall a happy experience

  • Gabriela was a kind and consistant host. My room was clean and quietly stylish and quiet! I would reccommend her elegant home as an alternative to overpriced grotty london hotels and B&Bs.

About
I come from Buenos Aires, Argentina, but London has been my home for many years now. I am a printmaker and mixed-media artist. My current art production is a combination of painting and digital print. I'm inspired by memories and interested in how photographs 'freeze' moments in time as well as the stories we tell ourselves about those moments in our past... and somehow I try to convey this through my creative work. I practice pilates and tai-chi and have recently started to explore 5-rhythms and biodanza. I'm an obsessive cinema-goer and a fan of London's many museums, galleries and markets. Also into mid-century furniture design and vintage clothing/accessories. I eat out fairly often and am a good source of both up- and down-market restaurant info, as well as venues for afternoon tea, always pricey but so so worth it! As Dorothy Parker once said, 'take care of the luxuries and the necessities will take care of themselves'. Last but not least, you should know that I am very tidy and totally intolerant of smoke.
