Location

Charlottesville, Virginia, United States

Our location is great! We're a few minutes away from UVA main grounds, Darden/Law School, and walking distance to the stadium. We are close to route 29 which allows easy access to wineries, shopping, and the beautiful trails in the area. It's about a ten minute drive to Monticello and surrounding vineyards and 30 minutes from Skyline Drive. Our neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and peaceful.

We are five minutes away by car to Historic Downtown Charlottesville and the West Main Corridor. Restaurants include Maya, L'Etoile, Bella, Continental Divide, Blue Moon Diner, Orzo, Public Fish & Oyster, Moto Pho and all of the wonderful restaurants on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall: Tempo, Commonwealth and Sky Bar, C&O, Mono Loco, Bang, Downtown Grill and more! The Downtown Mall is also a great place to see a show at the Charlottesville Pavilion, The Jefferson Theater, the Southern Music Hall, Live Arts or The Paramount Theatre.

Local attractions include historic sites such as Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, James Madison's Ash Lawn Highland, James Monroe's Montpelier and a slew of award winning wineries and breweries.

J.R. can be best described as a world traveling explorer with the occasional strange idea and a passion for music. Carrie is a professor, scientist and curious thinker. We currently split our time between Madison, Wisconsin, Wintergreen and Charlottesville, Virginia. J.R. has previously lived in Europe, the Middle East and Central America. He is a former Scientist, Restaurant Manager, US Army Officer and a Geo-Political/Terrorism Analyst for the US Dept of Defense. When Carrie isn't eyeball deep in dense academic prose, or consulting for our business, she loves traveling anywhere in the world she can. We can frequently be found sitting in a cafe plotting our next adventure.

However, I completely respect guests' privacy and want you to feel you are in your own home and feel no obligation to talk in person. I am available to communicate via phone, text, or email.
