Play and visit Girdwood; a year round outdoor mecca with convenient 1 hour access to the big city of Anchorage. This 1 bedroom apartment is located in the bottom floor of an architectural dream home with panoramic views of the Chugach mountains and many glaciers in the Girdwood valley. It's centrally located in the sunny part of town on a private road with walking access to everything Girdwood has to offer.

The space
This beautiful private modern 1 bedroom apartment with separate entrance, has open meadows and forest behind the house with views of the Chugach Mountains from every window. Glacier views can also be seen from the bedroom. Gourmet kitchen with custom cabinetry and all the cook-wear needed to make a delicious meal. A very spacious open concept kitchen/living room with a handmade local Alaskan slab wood 4 person dining table, Alaskan and native art, strong WIFI and pull out futon couch for lounging or sleeping. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the front patio table while soaking in views of Max’s and Alyeska mountains or the garden. There is a spa like bathroom with bathtub, private bedroom with new queen sized gel mattress and full size washer and dryer in unit. We are located at the end of a dead end road that is great for a quiet retreat, a couple or families. We supply local tourism brochures, maps and information in the unit. The unit is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each guest.

The nicest neighborhood in Girdwood is a stones throw from the new Girdwood Brewery. You can explore the forest and meadow trails surrounding the house. The Bake Shop has great breakfasts and Spoonline is a dinner favorite. La Bodega is a boutique liquor store. Powderhound has outdoor gear and rentals. The Alyeska downhill mountain bike park and ski trails, Girdwood playground, tennis courts, library and forest fair park are also a 10 min walk or 1 mile (few minute drive) away.
