Hi, I have a Large sunny 3 bedroom corner flat in modern development on the 4th floor for visitors coming to enjoy the beautiful city of Edinburgh! .I am offering a double bedroom with super comfy bed and quality bed linen. The room is carpeted and there are two mirrored bed side cabinets with 3 drawers. You would be sharing this large , modern and sunny flat with myself only. It is clean, tidy, and comfortable which I hope my guests will enjoy as much as I do.
The flat is less than 2 miles from the city centre and the Queens Palace. Waverley train station is 1.5 miles away and would cost in the region of £6.00 in a taxi and less than 10 minutes drive to get to my flat.
You would have your own bathroom as I have an en-suite so no worries about waiting to use the bathroom ! The main bathroom is practically next door to your room. You would have use of the living/dining room which has the balcony leading off through the patio doors. You are welcome to relax, and use the t.v in the living room and eat at the table in the living room. Please feel free to use the kitchen also. The flat has lovely views and is bright and airy with part views of Arthurs Seat and also looks over to the east coast line.
Free private parking is available should you wish.
I am in between the town centre and Leith with its cosmopolitan shore. Leith has some lovely bars - Nobles has live free music most nights and the Carrier's Quarter does the best Nachos ever! As for restaurants at the shore...there is Tom Kitchen and Martin Wishart - Michelin star! If you love seafood, then Fishers at the shore is a must ! I love Leith! It's so colourful! You can have a drink on the boat or sip a cocktail at the Mal Maison, or pop into the cool south African bar next door to the award winning Indian restaurant called Mithas.
Along the road to Ocean Terminal is where the Royal Yacht Britannia now resides! You can even have stop for refreshments in the tea room in the yacht! Last year the Royals gathered for pre wedding celebrations of he Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips to the England rugby player Mike Tindall !
Excellent location close to city centre. Clean and very comfortable. Wonderful host! Definitely recommended
Susan was a great host. Very helpful with tips about getting around Edinburgh and her apartment is very comfortable. The rooms were great, our bed was so so comfy. The location is good, walkable to the city center or one can easily take a bus. It was a lot of fun ringing in the New Year at the Hogmanay street party!
Nice and comfortable..
This was our first AirBnB experience and we were lucky to start there. We stayed at Susan's for 4 nights and had an incredibly good time. The place is spotless, the room was inviting and tidy (even the bedding were ironed). The bathroom was all to ourselves and was kept in great shape. Susan offered to share her fridge and kitchen.
The apartment is about 5 minutes from a bus stop that leads into the center of town, or about a 20 minute walk.
Susan is a great host. She was pleasant, helpful and kind.
Thanks for everything Susan!
Susan is a great and caring host.
Her place ist clean, quiet and newly refurbished.
You have your own bathroom, a kitchen with ocean views
and the city center is easily reachable.
I loved staying at Susan's. It was very comfortable and felt like home. The apt. was very clean and it is only 15 mins walk from the bus stop. There is a straight bus to downtown Edinburgh and is only a 15-20 min bus ride. It is very easy to get in and out of the city from her apt. The 15 min walk at night after a long day's travel could seem long but I wouldn't hold it against the location. It's a great place.
Nous n'avons pas trop eu l'occasion de parler avec Susan qui était très prise mais l'appartement, la chambre et la salle de bain étaient très bien décorés et très propres.
We stayed at Susan’s place for a long weekend in August. Her room is just as seen in the pictures, spacious enough for us. Very clean room and flat. It was great to have our own bathroom.
Would definitely recommend this place.
My friend and I travelled to Edinburgh for the festival and really enjoyed our stay with Susan. She was an excellent host and made us feel incredibly welcome in her home, and she was very flexible with the check: she offered to look after our luggage when we arrived in Edinburgh a little too early and even took it up to our room for us. The flat itself is beautiful and peaceful, and the bed is warm, cosy and (most important) very, very comfortable. The shower is also a highlight. The flat is about a twenty minute walk from the town centre so it is a great location, and if the weather is bad then you can get a taxi for under £10. All in all I strongly recommend staying here.
We had a great time with Susan. The flat and the room was very comfortable and clean. Susan was a friendly host. We can recommend Susans Double-room.
