The Space

I'M GLAD TO OFFER YOU THE CONFORT OF A HOTEL, THE WARMTH OF A HOME, A WINDOW ON ITALIAN WAY OF LIFE.

THE ROOM is sunny, quiet and breezy. It comfortable fits two.

IF THIS ROOM IS NOT AVAILABLE, YOU CAN VISIT MY OTHER TWO ROOMS; here are their links:

Guest Access

You have access to the kitchen for a rich breakfast in the morning (from 8am to 10am) and for light meals in the evening (from 5pm to 8pm).

You can also have access to my library, where you can find touristic guides, art books, novels etc.

Interaction with Guests

I am a single woman and I work as a screenwriter and movie-director. I have a modern stile of life and am used to share apartments since a long time. I met some of my dearest friends as guests in my house. I welcome my guests amicably and I enjoy if they feel at home

Being a professional screenwriter, I usually work at home. However it can happen that I leave Rome for short periods for business meetings. In this case, my sister Maria Pia will welcome you. She will live in my house and will take care of you. She speaks just a basic English, but she is very kind and caring. Anyway I will be always in touch with you if you like or need it.

When I am at home, I am at your disposal if you need useful info or if you have to solve small domestic problems.

I was also a Art History teacher and I (email hidden) license, so, please, feel free to ask if you need HELP IN PLANNING YOUR CITY TOURS, or in discovering the most secret Roman spots.

If you stay more than 4 nights, and you like the idea, I WILL PREPARE FOR YOU A TRADITIONAL ITALIAN DISCH, teaching to you how you can prepare home made pasta. Have a dinner together will help us to know each other better.

In the same time, you can be sure that I will always respect your privacy.

The Neighborhood

In the immediate neighborhood of my home you can visit VILLA ADA, which is a huge, splendid park, and great monuments as the medieval SANT'AGNESE CHURCH, the MAUSOLEUM OF COSTANZA and the CATACOMBS OF PRISCILLA, with rare examples of ancient Roman paintings. To the guests who will stay for at least a week, I will offer A FREE GUIDED TOUR to these marvelous sites.

Excellent restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, cafes, cinemas, are waiting for you in the evening, at a walking distance. If you like to cook in my kitchen, you can find, nearby, many supermarkets, a huge fresh food market and many other grocery shops.

If you like to go shopping, in Viale Libia you can find any sort of shops and elegant boutique.

  • Very helpful host. Close to the blue line metro that takes you directly to Termini, the Colosseum ext. Bed could be a little softer, shower could be a little hotter, WiFi could be a little stronger but over all a cute friendly place and we enjoyed our stay.

  • My daughters were very welcomed in Angiolas home. The location was convenient to city center they were very happy with their stay. Highly recommend

  • Our stay was fantastic! It looks like Angiola has three rooms that she rents out of her home. Ours was perfect in every way. There are two or three bathrooms in the home, shared between rooms. Plenty of water, space, and privacy. Angiola kept her kitchen well-stocked with breakfast foods and was very generous to let her guests eat at home before setting out in Roma. The flat is an easy 5 minutes walk to the metro, bus, and a delicious patisserie! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with her and the company of the other travelers in the home as well. Definitely recommend!

And you are fantastic guests! Thank you for coming!

  • Angiola was nice and very helpful. We had a great stay at her appartment.

  • Just because we were both busy with our own business we didn't get to spend as much time together as we may have liked. But good thing will come of the time we had. My room was in fact far better than what I expected, and the neighborhood was grand. The immediate vicinity was peaceful and all the things you might want (cafes, bars, restaurant, clothing, and metro/bus service just down the street).

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Angiola's place! Angiola is a friendly and warm lady who is willing to help when we need it and is easy to talk to. Her apartment is neat and very clean. We are especially pleased with how the table is always set up and ready for us to have a good breakfast every morning. We had a great evening with Angiola and the other guests over dinner and learnt more about Rome through Angiola. The location of the apartment is also good, with a 5 minutes walk to the metro and is close to the city centre, making it easily accessible. We will definitely recommend Angiola's apartment to other guests.

  • Angoila is a hearty, helpful, interesting and intelligent hostess. She can make you feel at home. We talked a lot also about our personal mathers. Her house contains 2 or 3 rooms for guests so that you can meet other people from all over the world, in our case from India, US, China and Taiwan. We met each other mostly in the kitchen while cooking. Nevertheless at night the house is quite.

    Response from Angiola:

    Dear Paul,

thank you for your notes; about the mirror, you are right and I will follow your suggestion. About the bed, I'm sorry for you, but I am also a little bit surprised: I bought the mattress about 2 years ago; it was an expensive mattress, indicated as a good one to give people comfort to their back; on it is written: SEALY ACTION POSTUREPEDIC. All the best, Angiola

  • She was a great host. Even though she wasn't around in the apartment during most of our stay, she had prepared for all the arrangements for my mom and I. Her place is in the city centre and it's easy to find.

  • Angiola was a very good host. She helped us figure out how to get our tickets to to the Vatican and even printed us out maps of the area. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was also good. Though the neighborhood was a little far from the center it is well-connected to the metro and the bus lines and there are night buses running all night that will take you very close to the apartment. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Angiola was helpful in giving us directions around the city and provided us with breakfast each morning. The room was spacious and clean with fresh towels and wifi.

There are a couple other rooms in her apartment that she rents out to other guests so the place feels a bit like a small hostel. Definitely a place to stay if you want a more involved experience with the host. Would recommend!

About
I am a single woman who works as a scriptwriter and movie director. I also have been for years an Art History teacher in public high schools. Recently I’ve (email hidden) licence too, so I can help guests to discover the Roman most secret beauties. Memories are important to me but my mind and my eyes are focused on our world's future, and I suppose that's why I seem... or at least I feel... younger than I am. I am used to share apartments since I was young, being very respectful of people living with me and doing my best to let them feel at home. I have to say that a lovely way of travelling to me is to meet people coming from different countries and different cultures… while I'm resting on my own divan! Because I'm quite afraid to fly but I do love differences.
