In few word, (my french is way better then my english!) my trip to Lorraine's place was amazing. The bedroom was lovely and really clean like all the room in the house ! It was an honest pleasure to to meet Lorraine, she such an handsome hostress and a warm, bright and generous person. Her garden is full of treasure like papaya, guyava, cherries, coconut tree and even a river !
I really hope we will stay in touch and hope to come back .
Wish you all the best,
Thanks you again Lorraine.
If you are looking for a place to sink into St Lucia's culture, nature and slow pace, this is your spot. Lorraine is a gracious and very lively host and you really feel that you are sharing her peace of paradise. Not fancy, but so comfortable, genuine, and the view from the verandah is sublime. Take a walk with Melvin, a local botanist, and learn about all the fruits, vegetables, and birds living in the trees. Cook up your finds in the shared kitchen. Get covered with mud at St Lucia's drive in Volcano- really. A peace of Paradise is for travelers, not resortists- and I'll go back any chance I can get!
Lorraine has a gorgeous place, in a rural paradise! You need a car or bike to get around but Dennery, with the treetop adventure ziplines is just up the road -very fun if you love heights. Lorraine is a gracious and lovely host and we really enjoyed hanging out with the croaky frogs and listening to the river rush by.
My wife and I stayed here Apr '12 for 4nts/5days. We had an absolutely amazing vacation. Wishing we would've extended it longer! Lorraine is a delight and a very gracious host. In fact we enjoyed her company soo much that we invited her on a day trip with us but she respectfully declined. A refreshing breakfast was served every morning with delicious fresh fruits, oven toasted bread, locally homemade fruit jams ( YUMMM!!!) and coffee or tea. The fruit jams were sooo good, we had to buy some and bring it home with us :). The place is definitely a "Peace of Paradise" amidst a lush tropical rain forest filled with mango trees, palms, birds and tropical wildlife. I loved laying in the hammock listening to the sounds of the rainforest and the serene river running directly behind the property. We normally do all inclusives when we go to the Caribbean. This time we decided to do a BnB and rent a car and have absolutely no regrets!! We met some of the most delightful, friendly people having driven around the entire island 2 or 3 times. Stopping at local restaurants, bakeries and convenient stores along the way. We would have never experienced this if we had done an all inclusive. Driving around the island is like doing the road to Hana in Maui, the whole island is like this!! I LOVED it!!! Some of the most heavenly picturesque sites I have ever seen!!! Our first time in Saint Lucia and hopefully not our last! We would definitely come back and see Lorraine and her "Peace of Paradise"!!! Thank you Lorraine!
This place is really a piece of Paradise where you find peace and a real relax atmosphere. Lorraine is a great host! very friendly and helpfull. We spend some hours at the swimmingpool from the Fox inn, next door. Lorrine askeda local guide (Melvin) for some hike in the rain forest...... and we cooked som nice dinners in her big kitchen and share the dinner with Lorraine, some nice conversation...What's more to ask for?
