Great location

200 year old farmhouse, wide pine board floors, huge private space. Enjoy built in dormer queen sized bed with window overlooking farmland and a separate king sized bed. So Comfortable. All inclusive Sunday Breakfast....This farm brings peace to the souls of all that enter! This space gives you the sense that you are in a loft apartment and that you are private yet everything is accessable. Meals, smoothies and muffins are made availble as schedule allows . Check in before bringing pets!

The space
Entire upstairs available w gorgeous views out every window. Private bathroom, mini fridge and microwave. This house has wide and wider pine board floors through out. Old soapstone farmers sink in kitchen. Host works a variety of shifts off premises through out the week and sometimes Saturdays. Mostly evenings and weekends I am home to interact with. Please let me know if there is something I can do to make your stay that much more special. Everyone's privacy is highly respected here, so if you wish to close yourselves off and not mingle, the upstairs space is perfect for that. You will be happy!!!!

Guest access
Downstairs common areas such as rustic dining area, shared kitchen, (which by the way) we love to cook for others, share cooking ideas and do crazy stuff like make soap, can jams, bake fresh picked blueberry muffins...., reading and craft areas, (we knit, spin fiber and felt). If you like the outdoors, we have hiking, animal visits and a good game of badminton with your bare feet in soft green grass. If you bring a pup, fun is endless. Oh yes....lets not forget the comfy hammock and ice cream next door.

Other things to note
The stairs are narrow and appear steeper as with most older houses of this era. Children stayed primarily upstairs back in the day.... The new shower is complete.. It is three x's its original size and it sports a stained glass horse mural to allow a filtered colorful light into the shower. This is very excitng. If you are pregnant, I would recommend staying in the Spacious Rustic Room Farm stay....for ease of movement and safety reasons. If you are taller than 6' and even at this you may find some of the sloped ceilings annoying . Again, Spacious RUSTIC Room, Farm stay may accomodate your height better. Most love upstairs for its privacy , coziness, and comfort. Your only concideration would be downstairs ceilings are above 8'. Upstairs ceilings at 7' center and sloped edges/knee walls. It is with regret that I can no longer allow animals to come to the property due to so much poor behavior and attacks on my farm animals.
We also host Hip Campers .

It is all farmland. Close to All the area lakes, hence the "Lakes Region" 20 minutes to Gunstock ski area, closer to restaurants and Tanger Outlet Mall. Dont forget, we are right next door to the only other neighbor on this street, Heritage Pancake House and petting farm. If you like the wilderness, the lower property sports a newly built beaver pond which you could bring and use a canoe or kayak and paddle around and check out their home. I am actively attempting to protect them from trappers and make it so they have a permanent home here. They have attracted blue heron, coyotes, moose and deer. They are a family of 6 about to give birth to some kits this April/May.

I love my farm! I currently work in the construction field and I am a spinner, knitter and fiber enthusiast. I love animals and enjoy everything to do with growing and harvesting.
During your stay
First and foremost you must love animals. Dogs and cats are very friendly.
There is always help with whatever you may need during your entire stay.
Because this is a small farm, something is always being done on a daily or nightly basis.. We garden, we do property care, we manage and stock our own farmstand. We do animal husbandry. Love fire pits and cook outs.......and ATVing. For a small gas fee, you may get to use this machine to more easily travel around the property
If guests would like to interact during any part of the goings ons here, we welcome the interaction. May 4th is Alpaca shearing day....all of
June is prepping gardens and clipping beautiful flowers, .the first/second week in July, blueberry picking starts, in August, grapes are ready to harvest and we make wine. In September/October, peaches are ready to pick, During the winter months we are close to local ski areas and wonderful trails for snowshoeing and we have great restaurants to pick from. we make peach brandy, and pies. We sell eggs, veggies and homemade soaps as well. Spinning lessons and soap making lessons are available for an additional fee. Alpaca fiber is available for sale.
