Be courteous, tidy, but r-e-l-a-x-x-x. That's what it's here for.
Please, no smoking inside or around the house.
I ask that guests leave the place tidy and at least start the process of cleaning. Doing so allows me to keep the cleaning cost charges to guests low, keep people's attachment to the place high, allows for frequent return visits, and provides me with the joy of returning to a clean home. So far, it has worked well for everyone.
We had a wonderful stay at David's place. There was lots of room for a family of 5 with grown-up children, the outdoor dining area is amazing, the beds are so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for preparing evening meals and picnic lunches--and the house itself is designed beautifully, with such attention to detail and to the comfort of guests that it was a tremendous pleasure to come home here after full days and contending with 10 hours' jet lag. We particularly enjoyed the running trail just outside the house, hiking the China Camp State Park trails, and the ease of taking a ferry to San Francisco. We would love to return and spend more time at this perfect place the next time we're in the area.
What a lovely home! Everything was so organized, clean and well-appointed. David, our host, was efficient and helpful but never intrusive. The home was comfortable, peaceful and quiet. The grounds were zen-like and provided a wonderful covered outdoor living/dining space. The beds! They were all so comfortable and the sheets were velvety soft. Access to the freeway and a superb local breakfast spot was a plus. But, most importantly, this mid-century house, which seems to have been completely remodeled within the last decade, is an incredible value for the price. The pictures do not do it justice. It feels like a splurge while you're staying there, but it won't feel like a splurge when you see the bill. Everyone in my party (we were a party of 5) loved the place. They were snapping pictures and gathering ideas for their own backyard rehab projects. We'll be back!
What a beautiful home and setting. The garden space is lovely. Beds so comfortable!!
Everything you need to enjoy Marin County.
David is accessible and has every detail taken care of.
Dave had everything one could need for a stay. Plenty of towels. The outdoor area was very nice and private.
The surround sound was nice and all the lights dimmed in the house which was also added to the atmosphere.
We feel in love with David's place. Simply perfect in every way!
Great location, beautiful home and stunning yard.
The only problem, our stay was too short! We would come back here in a heart beat and highly recommend this oasis to anyone in the Bay area, visiting of stay-cation.
Thank you David for the most hospitable stay we have had in 25 years of vacationing! The house was lovely, clean, inviting, well appointed, and in an area with easy access to everything! It was refreshing to come home to a beautiful peaceful place every night after long days with family. We wanted to entertain, as your home is PERFECT for hosting, but did not get the chance. If we ever come to California again, we will definitely be looking you up! This was my first experience with AirBnb, and I am excited to use them again.
The host was very considerate and helpful in making our stay welcoming and comfortable, from leaving excellent instructions in getting in the house to providing information about the house and surrounding areas. He anticipated many of our questions in advance, including our travelling with small children. The lovely house was very well equipped to handle our family. Everything in the description of the house was more than accurate- it is a charming peaceful garden retreat!
I enjoy the greatness and the beauty of the of the outdoors. Marin and Northern California offer the richness of the outdoors with the cultural amenities I also appreciate. I've loved traveling to, through and around over 60 countries over 6 continents. I still feel the deep exhale of coming home to a simple, beautiful, quiet, and comfortable place that I can call home, and that blurs the lines and invitation between outdoors and in. Simple touches of quality and detail matter to me. They speak throughout my home and my world. I hope they speak to a special few others, as well.
